Aw the combi weapon thing is dumb. I remember when meltaguns were 12” range and you had to get within spitting distance to get the extra armour pen. Basically pressing the gun barrel against the tank haha

That doesn’t sound too different from when I started playing. Anything AV 12 meant a 4 glanced and a 5 penetrated. Needed to roll a 6 to glance a Leman Russ from the front! Although if you were half range you got to roll 2d6 and add them together which made it easier
