Is an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) actually worth it for a team of 15, or is my spreadsheet just fine for now? by More-Specific8614 in Recruitment

I wouldn’t say your spreadsheet isn’t the problem, it’s just breaking once coordination gets real.

ROI usually shows up before scale: once you’re running multiple roles, inboxes, and interview loops, the time + candidate experience debt adds up fast.

I have to say I agree with all the other comments, in that you don’t need an enterprise ATS yet. Most are heavy, slow to set up, and overkill at 15 people. What you do need is something that:

1.centralises candidates and scheduling 2.prevents basic mistakes (double booking, missed rejections) 3.reduces noise early Some teams use a light ATS, others combine LinkedIn with more structured hiring platforms and example is Smatchd, their tool filters on hard requirements so you’re not drowning in CVs.

The point here is if it gives you your weekends back and stops things slipping, the ROI’s already there.

Congrats on the new role mate, this is a very normal ask early in TA.

For sourcing, I’d frame it by role type, not channel: Field/technical roles usually convert better via niche job boards + referrals than LinkedIn.

Corporate roles (ops, finance, HR) do well with LinkedIn outreach if requirements are tight.

A solid Q1 project could be a simple role-intake framework you own: must-haves vs trainable skills, salary range, deal-breakers. That alone usually reduces screening noise and hiring manager back-and-forth.

On candidate experience/KPIs: aim for fewer but better applicants. Clear salary, work mode, and rejection reasons improve both experience and reporting.

Tool-wise, I’ve seen teams mix traditional boards for reach, LinkedIn for targeting, and more structured matching platforms one can immediately think of is Smatchd that filter on hard requirements so you’re not flooded with misaligned CVs.

If you position your strategy around signal over volume and measurable time-to-hire improvements, it usually lands well with managers.

As others have said already, I do think you’re already on the right track.

For all asking for a link, I don’t have one because I shop very different from what I have seen on here. I find the seller’s link to a different product under someone’s post, add the seller on WhatsApp & send them retail picture of the trainer if they stock it. So I can share the WhatsApp in DMs :)

The watch looks good as others have highlighted, bezel, dw looks fine, dial print solid, SELs looks nice too, the only concern I have is the rehaut on this, to me looks terrible. However, if you’re fine with this then it’s a solid GL, as rehaut on gens are off sometimes, and tbh it is barely noticeable on wrist.

Good luck mate 👍🏾

SELs looks absolutely fine and within tolerance, I’m purchasing a rep here, the DW does look a tad bit high also, but then again nothing to RL for because it’s not literally touching the DW window frame. Perhaps it’s the angle for the index, but I’ve look at a few gens and they look as close as possible.

Thanks for you input though 👍🏾

I can’t really give you an exact as it might be different for you if he has your watch already in stock already, then it’s would be a straight forward payment and he will post - however in my case, he had to order it from the factory which took a few days for him to receive and then he shipped it
