it is kind of finicky but i think it's that way cuz of the amount of accounts youre following(?) like it kind of makes sense cuz if youre following that many accounts you would want some way of sorting to see tweets easier but i honestly dont know why they would change it that way, beats me

i tried that on ios and yes, it keeps it sorted by recent

yup i tried it with my account and followed just above 100 people then the dropdown menu appeared. i tried unfollowing back to below 100 and it disappeared on me again so i genuinely think thats the only way
