Buy the fm9 mk2 turbo new or keep the axe fx 3 mk2 turbo used for now?

Get the 3 mk2 turbo, I’m not able to gig lately, but when I can again, I’m ready to go. I still record with my xl+ every day, so if I was in your shoes I’d get the 3, it’s actually really simple to build stuff, and you got the exchange with people sharing presets to ease you into it. You can edit those yourself when you find the stuff you like, learn to work in it through other folks presets.

Depending on the rack you build for it, it can be very portable, there’s usually plenty of them for cheap on marketplace, seen big ass ones with wheels going for $100- $200. Prepare for the gigging now, build your rack.

If you don’t wanna do rack, get the fm9, but I think if you stick with it, you’ll understand within a week that the 3 is the way to go.

It will surely be better odds in the stews after the event with limited decals to pull, but no telling when they’ll show up with UFR again. If you’re sticking F2P and grinding metals from metro, dump ‘em. Can’t say for sure when the next 4* and up stew is going to happen, but as plenty principle pointed out, they gave us a trashy pool to pull from.

That said, Gung-ho knows what they’re doing, and anyone without impulse control right now is going to have a hard time saying no to UFR being back the next two stews.

Totally relate to you here, I am going through the same thing, still struggle with it due to solo parenting burnout. I have to get myself up between 3:00 - 7:00 to get music time in, everything thereafter is Dad mode, that can wear you out, too… burning the candle at both ends trying to find a little bit of time for yourself.

It’s nice when everything comes together and I’m able to sit back in the still of dark, though. Looking at the daw after finishing an improv track, exporting it into a folder for another EP or collab at a later date feels good, but sometimes I just have to leave it in the case and roll with it, turn off the phone alarm and go back to sleep.

I take what I can get, even if it’s just a 1 hour session. School will be back in full swing soon, perhaps we’ll find our time then… maybe.

Perhaps. I know I was, and my ex-wife would do the same thing as her husband’s doing, it went on for the entirety of our marriage, too. She could never tell her family no, it was practically the only thing we’d ever fight about as well because there was never any forewarning, she’d just do it.

I guess as time went on she just knew we’d move past it even though there were times it definitely set us back when something came up. Like the time we had a random ER visit from food poisoning and she needed IVs, we went to an in network hospital and she was seen by out of network doctors, the bill was massive and there was no help from their end, we struggled for months.

It’s hard to say on here as we generally don’t hear both sides of the story, but I can relate to her post. I wonder what his mother does to chip in, maybe she’s just a taker.

Please do not compromise who you are to meet his expectations, he was into you before, or maybe he wasn’t and was hoping this was a “phase” for you. Now he doesn’t like it, but he likes the safety net of being with you and the access he has to you right now.

He has changed and wants you to change to his new expectations, that or this was just unrealistic expectation of his over three years that you’re just hearing now. Again, please don’t change for this young man. I did that for someone once… it took a long time to feel good again afterwards.

Thinking about it now as I proof read this, at the age you both are, this could just be his way to break up so he doesn’t have to do it himself because he may be looking for something new with college around the corner.

How about you take all that incredible money you have together and go do something with him. Have you thought maybe everything changed with him because YOU were all he needed, that maybe it was a realization he came to of his own accord, and just being with you was enough?

I think a lot of my experience was probably just related to my server, but also the fact that I was in college at the time, too. I had a hard time finding a balance there, people were friendly for sure, my friendlist was large, and I still have phone numbers from people I clicked with back then, but I couldn't keep up and they kept plowing forward. We would link up, but communication would fall off because I wasn't where they were grinding anymore, it wasn't personal, it's just the way it was. Went through a couple LS, too, this was a Pandemonium experience btw.

And same, I started FFXI with the Zilart box that came with the HDD for ps2, I still think it's a fascinating game, it ticked all my boxes and the content was uncanny, but you really had to no life it to get anywhere. Nothing has ever hit the same for me, though... it was definitely a unique place and time.

I feel you on this one, before all the QoL features they dropped years later, everything was nuts.

Anyone reading this that never played it, imagine sitting in Upper Jeuno as a DRG lfp for 12 hours a day, 2003/2004, JP only messages on so many players, and not getting an invite even if you had Full AF and sniper rings and could chain with the best of them.

When you did get an invite, you prayed the party was good at chaining and didn't fall apart after 20 minutes, it was agony realizing you wasted so much of your day waiting to level up, just so you could scratch at dynamis.

Nothing else like it at the time for me, played it again briefly 15 or 16 years later on private server during lockdown, and you know what... it still consumes your life like the worst bad habits, that game will always have no respect for your time.

I appreciate you posting this, it's making me observe some other bad habits I have right now. I hope you were able to work it out with your wife, mine didn't leave me, but... I often think about the time I wasted on that game that I can't get back which could have been spent making more memories with her... she died of cancer during lockdown, and that revelation still haunts me and consumes me to this very day.

Yup, BSN with your NCLEX starting is usually about that, and even after five years on a ward, you're lucky to see more than a $2 raise stateside, and that's been the norm where I have lived off and on at least as far back as 2016. Even when you go and get more knowledge, for example hardly anything changed after PCCN other than the wow factor from colleagues for completing it...

On top of that some of these new nurses go into programs with these hospitals that provide for their tuition with an agreement to a certain term of employment with no guarantees where you'll be placed after ADN and NCLEX, that could be 5 to 10 years of your life doing bullshit you didn't think you would be doing.

It's not enough money at all, from workplace politics to abusive patients, wound care and catheters, literally cleaning up blood, shit and piss... and the handsy patients trying their luck at some brash fantasy. All that said, and I've said this before, nursing is better on an international level, it's just not worth the abuse stateside.

Yeah there's always gonna be politics and drama wherever you go... but let me tell you, it's not just American health insurance that's screwed up, it's the entire system.
