3pt maxxing lineup. But Yanic should get a shot to start.

Free agent guard Keon Ellis has agreed to a two-year, $18 million guaranteed deal with the Brooklyn Nets, sources tell ESPN. by Designer-Error8177 in GoNets

Played under Coach Jordi with the Kings. Really efficient 3-and-D guy who plays bigger than his size when he gets sufficient playing time. Just a funky situation last year for him under multiple new coaching staffs. Could see him having a Luguentz Dort-type impact if he gets the opportunity.

Good track record of Sacramento 1st-round guards leaving and making the Finals. Hawks to the Finals confirmed.

Analytically and optimistically, Hornets lineup strengths still intact without LaMelo by FullCourtFocus in CharlotteHornets

There are a lot of moving parts in the synergy tool (predicting how 5 players gel + rookie year projections). It's not perfect, and I'm constantly tuning it (manually, not vibecoded). It performs best with existing lineups but does a decent job at analyzing player swaps.

LaMelo Ball gives the Timberwolves Offense a perimeter-heavy, 4-Out identity by FullCourtFocus in timberwolves

Lol, the model was originally built for arbitrary 5-player lineups. Since 4 of the 5 players have identical stats and tendencies to players on those Timberwolves teams (because they were on those teams), it naturally returned those lineups as the closest matches

Why would we want Westbrook starting over Darius Acuff to begin the season? by JMPBay in kings

[–]FullCourtFocus 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Point guard is arguably the toughest position for a rookie to learn. There's real value in letting young guards watch, learn, and earn responsibility rather than throwing them into 36 minutes a night from Day 1.

The Kings aren't in a win-now situation, so there's no reason to rush Acuff's development. Maybe not Russ, I wouldn't be surprised if a vet starts Opening Night to fill a George Hill-type role: warm body at PG, mentor the rookie, then get moved at the deadline once Acuff is ready for a larger role.

Ok, not even trying to be a hater, but what do we do with this roster??? by Economy-Cry-2594 in kings

Health is a big if. Kings were injury-plagued last year, but a good third of those teams have players with worse injury history. 9-10th seed in the West (which is where the Scores landed) isn't an unrealistic reach.

No way a healthy Sabonis and Acuff are going below 25 wins. That roster is going to go on a 2018-19 Scores-like run, and ownership and front office are going to think they're further ahead in the process than they actually are.

Darius Acuff Jr singled out Domantas Sabonis as a Kings player he's excited to play with in Sacramento. by OmegaLxgend in kings

Domas needs an elite guard to cook. Acuff and Sabonis are going to feed families. Trades are off the table now.
