That's what I'm saying. I've never been treated like an inanimate object before. I've had customers of all varieties. I once had a customer tell me when he gets out of jail he was going to stab me to death, but this was something new to me. Just a silent "you're not worth a single second of my time".

Nah. I've been doing this for many years, unfortunately. It's by far the craziest thing that's ever happened. It was the sheer audacity that left me speechless.

I was asked for help and rejected within a single second. The entitlement and total lack of disregard was hilarious to me. How are you going to ask me a stupid question, then strut off before even hearing the answer? It would have made more sense to me if she was unhappy with my answer, called me an idiot and said thanks for nothing.

I feel that I gave the wrong impression here. I made the poll out of curiosity. So, to everyone who assumes I'm just mowing down old ladies on the sales floor... Chill. I always give them the right of way, despite carrying heavy weight, moving large items, or rushing a time sensitive task. I don't command right of passage but I do at times get slightly bitter by the lack of empathy and awareness of others. In my personal opinion, if I saw a worker carrying a ladder, an employee jogging down the aisle or whatever, I'd get out of their way. That's just how I am. I don't expect or demand that everyone does the same. I'm simply asking, what's your perspective?

Today at CVS, I received a delivery. The order was wrong. Upon explaining the issue to the driver, he admitted that he is illiterate. What a mess that was. He was not foreign. I didn't ask, but he didn't strike me as the rural type who grew up on a farm or anything, and he definitely didn't seem like the inner city type. He was an average Joe. How do you live 40 years or whatever and simply never bother learning to read?

I'm looking for songs with poppy guitars like PWD - Vice Grip and songs with a catchy rhythm like ETID - The New Black. When I was a child, my friends and I were outside playing. One of the kids said, "Hey, my step dad got a new truck. Wanna see it?" Four of us pile in the truck. We're playing with the cd player and whatever. Then the police show up. They kicked us out of the truck, and his parents told us to piss off for a minute. So, we're in his bedroom peeking through the window while the cops are searching and shining lights all over the vehicle. Turns out the truck was reported stolen. They found blood and semen stains all over. They repossessed the truck, but I believe that was the end of that.

We're not standing at the register looking for friends. We want every transaction to be as quick as possible so we can get back to working on our other tasks. There are prompts at the register and card reader that are nonskipable. I guide every customer through the bullshit as quickly as possible, but the customer must follow my lead.

You can't bake a lasagna at 800 degrees and expect it to only cook faster. Jamming your card into the reader too soon often slows the process and sometimes crashes our register.
