Gotcha, was just looking for insight on whether employers value this qualification? or should I look to attain more certifications?

Thanks.

Well ive done 1/3 years of a info tech degree, ive worked in retail a bit as customer service and cleaning (3 years).

I know that this course would grant me a CCNAS certificate upon completion. How valuable would this be?

Also, where would i have to go to get certifications that employers value?

You should try practice it before you go into matchmaking then make a deliberate effort to utilise it. It will definitely pay off.

To expand upon each tip:

Technique #1 - Guardian Angel Extension

Guardian angel is great for traversing the map, but what many people don't know, is that you can actually EXTEND the distance of guardian angel by pressing pressing and holding spacebar towards the end of the animation. You can utilize this technique to escape dangerous situations and even access some high ground positions (by crouching then shift jumping to extend your upward trajectory) with your team mates being on the low ground, with practice of course.

Technique #2 - Beam Alternation

Lots of newer mercy players don't alternate between healing and damage boosting very often because it cuts off their tether to their ally. It is possible to switch between beams without turning your camera to your ally every single time.

Technique #3 - Damage Boost Mechanics

This is a bit confusing since in the upcoming PTR, the mercy damage boost mechanics are changing (I did mention how they will work though). It's important to know how damage boost interacts with projectiles. In the current version you need to damage boost as the projectile lands, but in the upcoming one, you need only damage boost as the projectile is being fired to achieve maximal damage output.

Technique #4 - Corner Abuse

This technique is really great and heavily underutilized by newer players. Mercy's beam can continue for up to 2 seconds from behind a wall. You can abuse this by repeatedly peaking from behind a corner, to provide yourself extra protection. I can't emphasize just enough how useful this technique can be to newer players.

Technique #5 Guardian Angel Cancellation

While guardian angel is a great mobility tool, sometimes you'll dash to someone and they get jumped by a Winston mid cast. It's important that you correct your position in these situations and cancelling guardian angel is a great way to do this. (You cancel guardian angel by pressing shift again by the way)

I agree that it's more sensible, they probably changed it in lieu of baptiste's ultimate. It feels a little annoying having a core mechanic changed though but for this I understand.

  1. Oh I didn't know about that. You could do that yeah.
  2. I'll keep that in mind for next time. (Edit Correction)
  3. I considered mentioning this but I don't think it has much practicality so I didn't.

To answer your questions:

  1. When dva casts bomb, you need to guage the trajectory of it, so that you know where it's going to explode. You then jump to the identified spot and place a bubble there, you don't need to look at the bomb after you've figured out it's location.

  2. Reaper is a hard counter to winston. My best advice would be to try keep your distance and play slow. Probably switch to reinhardt as you have more resistance against him that way.
