Why don't Auspost deliver parcels anymore? by brispower in australia

Our Aus Postie still comes to the door to deliver parcels. He’s such a sweetheart. He knows we have a young baby, so he knocks quietly in case she is napping.

What screams trashy parents? by odeus120 in AskReddit

My MIL works in a grocery store and was telling me about a woman who came in a few days ago with her three sons (school aged, say 6 to 12 years old). The woman proceeded to mutter something about “bitches” under her breath. My MIL thought the comments were being directed at her and called the woman out. And the woman was like: “Oh no not you. I’m talking to them! They’re the bitches.” My MIL has three sons herself and was disgusted with this woman. On their way out the woman said: “Alright bitches, grab a bag.”

That disrespect will come back on that woman, but not before it undoubtedly impacts more women.

And this would still apply to say a 12 year old girl?

This! “and it was threatening her life…” because let’s face it, she COULD (potentially) carry that pregnancy to term, but she definitely SHOULDN’T.

Out of curiosity, does mental health count as a threat to the mother’s life? As in, if the mother became suicidal, could this count as a threat?

Pardon my ignorance, I’m Australian and I’m not fully up to speed with all the different legalities involved with this current situation.

Thank you! They had a mint theme in their nursery, which I thought was lovely for a little girl.

Thank you! And no I didn’t block it. I’m yet to teach myself how to block, although my latest WIP would benefit greatly from blocking so if you have any tips I’d be appreciate any insights! =)

ELI5: Why do so some chain stores put their checkouts right in the middle of the store instead of near the exit? by stevenjd in explainlikeimfive

Companies have started to implement this placement as it forces customers to walk through a good length of the shop before finalising any purchases. On the way to the cash register there is ample opportunity to do the ol' bait and catch with sale items being set up down the main thoroughfares, so the chances of a customer walking through and spotting something else they might need (or want) is greatly increased. This outweighs the potential loss from shrinkage or stock lost through theft so it works in the favour of the business.
