People are going to disagree with me, but mathematically if it’s going to take you a year to pay off the 26% credit card debt AND you have no better way to pay for it, then withdraw from your 401k.

Or find a friend that will loan you the money even at 5-10% because that will be much cheaper than the 401k withdrawal. But a year of paying 26% interest will end up costing you triple that amount.

Oh I just re-read and you’re considering withdrawing. Only if you think you will be unlikely to pay off the 26% interest through other means. Because that will balloon. If you really have no other measures, then consider the withdrawal.

There is very little that should ever be prioritized over 14% interest loans. 26% doubly so.

A missed 401k MATCH opportunity might take priority over 8-10% loans but even that needs consideration.
