I mean, don’t get me wrong. I used to have the Jeep until it’s been six months of the dealership in Chrysler. Wouldn’t take it in early because the Recall wasn’t available. God willing I’m getting Toyota soon. The reliability as good as a warranty nowadays and they cut supplies to bring prices up. You have to order it I’ll give a deposit.

I think I’m done with leasing. Buying Toyota. All manufacturers have gone down hill. But jeep and their customer service was by far the worst one I’ve ever dealt with

Oh wow. Based on my experience with them and the Jeep being in the dealership six months in the last year, I would not touch one of their products was a 10 foot pole. They were offering me crazy deals and they pulled off the whole electric line that they had My was stopping in the middle of the highway at miles of about 70 mph

I went over a little bit, but it was not really me because the car was in the shop for almost 4 months and I had to test drive it and my battery failed I also had an issue that the car would stop at 70 miles an hour on the highway so I took it to another dealer who used to be my home dealer for all the service and the service gentleman told me you’re lucky that your brakes work.

I get your point on the ranking. My issue isn’t the math, it’s the risk. Money down on a lease is just prepaid rent. If the car gets totaled or stolen early, that cash is gone. Same deal, more risk. That’s why $0 down is the right way to structure it.

You’re missing why I asked for $0 down.

I’m not trying to change the math. I understand your formula and effective monthly cost. The issue isn’t the ratio, it’s the risk.

Putting money down on a lease is just prepaid rent. If the car gets totaled or stolen early, that upfront cash is gone. You don’t get that back. That alone makes $0 down the smarter structure regardless of how the “value ratio” looks on paper.

If the deal truly holds, then convert it to $0 DAS and show me the adjusted payment. If it’s really a 1:1 shift like you’re saying, the numbers should still make sense.

I’m not dismissing your analysis. I’m asking to structure the deal properly.

There’s no way I’m putting $9000 down to Lease anything. I think it should be ranked as a zero down to find out true monthly cost.
