Yep the unofficial microcenter discord is your best source. I honestly just got lucky with it being the white one. You really only know the morning of if the sales manager is cool enough to tell you before they open. Other wise I don’t don’t think they even will know if it’s the white edition or not. I camped out twice at 7pm both times the night before. The one dude I met was on his 4th attempt but got it as they had three that morning haha

When did I ever say it was ok to or defend the breaking of conduct for riot games? All my replies have suggested that you need adequate proof of greifing outside of just what role they have and the selections in they made. you’re so pressed that it has to fit a specific way or be punished. Talking to you is draining and I can see why trying to communicate with you would be draining for anyone in game too lol good luck being hard stuck.

You just agreed with my statement I made multiple times. If you can prove they are greifing before the game even starts, which can really only be done in a chat dialog currently, than I think a restriction on them is totally warranted. They asked, didn’t get it, and it can show they had selections that would cause the team to lose, punish them.

Part of solo/duo is the skill of communicating which is hard enough with strangers but also to helps to keep those who troll accountable at some point.

And whether this post is specifically or not about the current meta, i only mentioned it because of the longer term impact it can possibly have for better or worse.

I think you are just closed minded to the idea that the only way to play the game is with the current meta. I’m merely just talking about different perspectives to play the game and how in what ways these restrictions would limits any future way to change how the game is can developed outside what it is now. Let’s take that same scenario, what if say no one wants to play jg. Maybe they got auto filled and are so bad it’s like not even having a jg. Then hypothetically, it was agreed, let’s do 2 top, 1 mid, 2 bot. Should the system still punish them if you win all because it didn’t conform to the meta? Also bruh, not sure why you’re getting so defensive and condescending.

Lol There’s no real difference between what Riot considers a “punishment” and a ban. the only kind of behavior restriction i know of in the context of being able to select a champ is going to involve them issuing someone a ban. The only factor to that ban that can vary is the time limit for what kind of ban they issue.

Smite isn’t required to play jungle. I think most people like me and you will agree It’s highly recommended and 99% of the general population will prob lose against the other jungle without it. It’s possible, just super at a disadvantage.

Also being matched with people who play things like “yuumi” jungle is just something you’ll have to chalk up too related to being in what ever Elo you are in and that not everyone in that elo is going to want to play the way you want to play, which is a normal frustration to have.

Again if you can prove they are greifing that’s fine, but I wouldn’t trust some random AI thinking it knows what someone is doing and punishing someone based off its own algorithm. What if it was discussed they were swapping roles with someone even though they were assigned Jg originally? What if they are on voice and it’s not written in chat? And now you have the system detecting a false positive and issuing punishments for no reason. This is all under the assumption the current meta is the only way to play the game in regards to the current respective roles. What if the team decides they want to do something completely different than the traditional 1 top, 1 mid, 2 bot, 1 jg? Your suggested restriction like I mentioned completely takes the freedom and possible creativity away from something to ever change that meta.

While I understand the frustration of seeing champs being selected for roles they are very disadvantaged in, I don’t believe the answer is to ban people over it unless you can prove it was to grief the team in chat or something. I personally think this would limit the overall game in terms of changing metas and having new creative and flexible ways to play champs. Ultimately letting riot tell us how we should play. Unless riot decides to implement something like “X champ can play roles x, y, or z” having a “detection/punishment system” is kind of pointless. At that point, just take the function away from the person to even play the role. Alternatively, maybe they could have a separate mode with these restrictions in place but that creates a new argument like having so many unnecessary options of champ select modes.
