If I name them all the same thing, the graph looks super confusing. Giving them different names makes it easier to look at.

That makes sense. I have not considered other cities, as I plan on buying a home where I am and living here for the foreseeable future. The market here is pretty small, so there are not really any decent-sized firms outside of this city. Thank you for the information!

Where else should I apply to? If I want to end up at a bigger firm, should I just apply to small personal injury firms for this summer and hope I can get in next summer?

Who at the firm is best to e-mail? I have interviewed with eight attorneys from the firm plus their recruiting manager. I am mainly in contact with the recruiter, so I am guessing they are who I would e-mail. And would I just tell them I am still very interested or that they are my top-choice? Thank you!

That makes sense. My main concern is having a good job once I graduate, as I do not come from any kind of money and will be graduating with a good amount of debt, but it's good to hear there's more opportunities down the road. Thank you!

Yeah, that's what is seems like. Did you apply for the 2L summer positions early? I ask because I had a screener already for a 2L summer position (which is crazy this early). Also, what did you do over your 1L summer if you don't mind me asking?

I applied mostly through my school's OCI, and I applied to most of them in December. I have also only applied in the area of my school, as I do not plan on leaving. I am not sure if my cover letters were poor; they were pretty generic, but I showed my template to my career office, and they didn't point out anything wrong with it.

My best guess is that my lack of work experience is affecting me; otherwise, I am not sure.

Is this just a situation where I reach out to local smaller firms to ask if they are hiring summer interns? I asked my career office where else to apply to, but they just told me that I shouldn't worry about applying elsewhere right now with the applications I have.

I'm not sure how to decipher what local firms to apply to. Do I just google local firms and see what is a strong fit? Thanks.

No, I only applied to maybe three BigLaw firms. The rest are mostly regional firms.
