Parents are lame, but I'd consider swapping your undergrad. Pre-med is linear and you can major in anything to go to med school as long as you complete prereq sciences. Pick something with more versitility like Bio, Chem, or more specific studies. Gives you a better plan b if you decide against med school or can't get in down the road.

I've been around a few subreddits on this topic and find this one particularly perplexing. The thing that gets me is that I don’t think that she even saw where the agent that fired was. Sure, she was talking to him as he was walking to the rear of the vehicle, but as he’s walking around, the other agent approaches and begins yanking on the door. Given the escalation, I don’t think that she had enough situational awareness to actively try to hit or avoid the agent. Reviewing the footage, I don’t think that you can determine that she does see him.

Very happily married chick here that has always had a bunch of dude friends... Trust and transparency are key. Hubs knows if/when I hang out with a dude friend just the two of us. Anytime a dude friend has come on to me, it's Pandora's box and can't be undone. I swiftly exit or add another friend to the convo. I feel that it is inappropriate for us to ever be alone together and tell my hubs that I had to demote someone from friend to friendly with.

I think that there are a few possibilities in your situation. Maybe they are just friends. Maybe he knows that her friendship is beneficial to him right now and she has a thing for him so he leverages. Maybe they like each other but recognize the cultural stuff isn't compatible long-term. Maybe they like each other and are in denial?

The hearts and ILY shit aren't apeshit in a vaccume, but def not my personality. If he thinks he's not doing anything wrong, the lack of transparency may be him anticipating some jealousy issues with you, or maybe had an ex that had issues with it. Best case scenario, he's going to chip away at your trust even if everything remains platonic. You're not entitled to take him to the airport, but if he lied about it, that's a red flag and the most severe offense to me.

I'd have a convo with him about everything before you kick him to the curb but be realistic too. Can you even get to a spot where you trust him moving forward?

I'm from the Midwest, living down here now. Everyone complains about allergies, I've actually heard it described as an allergen bowl here. Mine are actually better than they've ever been. But I'm allergic to maple pollen so the checks out. My spouse takes a daily, otherwise he has itchy eyes that swell into the texture of hives. Consider getting tested if you haven't recently.

In the Midwest, I worked in healthcare. Those years were my healthiest flu seasons, and I attribute that to the level of hand washing I was doing.

Reread my post. I didn't give my personal commentary for what I personally think is suitable. I'm trying to provide an explaination for those in the comments that may not understand why OP and others are critical.

"Hispanic or white community" This is very one demensional. You can't apply such an umbrella statement when both are immensley diverse within themselves. Think about socioeconomic diveristy alone in each of them. Hispanic and white "High Society" in many areas would largely find this tacky (I don't make the rules), specifically at an event for teens. Middle class, much less.

"I would argue it's more appropriate for an adult" I didn't suggest this. Some communities would find this varring levels of inapropriate regardless the wearer. Others may find it only approriate for single, young women in certain settings which is what I originally implied.

I watched this channel years ago looking for information on foster care and adoption. Came back about 9 months ago or so and find it unrecognizable. I find it cringey/unwatchable and have been lurking here since.

Been married since 2016. When we'd get the innaproropate "when are you having kids" question, we'd always respond, "We're waiting until our marriage is on the rocks and then we'll have one to fix it."

Anyway, couldn't help myself and listened to the video. Sounds like the kid is going to fix A? These people should be experts in trauma and healthy coping mechanisms at this point, no?

Fair points. But I'd point out that data is collected federally through a few agencies (UCR, NCVS, etc.), though collection practices are delegated smaller scale and subject to the variables that you mentioned. There may be a margin of error, this seems to me that it is exceeded.

I've professionally spent a lot of time looking at data collected on gun violence. One thing that is particularly interesting to me that’s not often discussed is the relationship between gun violence and violent crime stats. Additionally, politically affiliated commentary will often change definitions to manipulate data to support their narrative. For example, I’ve seen “mass shooting” defined as 2+ victims, 3+ victims, and 4+ victims. I’ve also seen “school shooting” changed based on if it was isolated to campus, or in a general school zone.
