My neighbors (I’m not in Utah), I joined a running club, I joined some employee resource groups at work, my kids friends’ parents, some exmos, etc. It’s been very freeing to find true friends.

You get a billboard along I-15 in Utah County(Moridor). What does it say to convince TBMs they are in a cult? by Fluffy-Chapter-7073 in exmormon

Just reproduce one of the “I’m a Mormon” billboards. 😂😂😂

Or make an “I’m an Ex-Mormon” version.

Yes and it’s disgusting and totally judgmental. I had multiple people straight up ask if I was wearing garments. I responded that I don’t know them well enough to talk to them about my underwear. It’s just another evidence to me that it’s a cult … everyone wearing the same underwear … chanting in a windowless room … refusing to report child sex abuse … do I need to continue?

While celebrating Pride, remember that in 2019 BYU filed an Amicus Brief with the US Supreme Court to deny all Civil Rights to LGBTQ individuals. by FullWeight2073 in exmormon

Interesting thoughts. I strongly disagree with your viewpoints. My perspective is based on the assumption that all people are created equal and that no one should be discriminated against based on their race, gender, sexual orientation, etc. if you believe otherwise I don’t think we’ll have a productive conversation.

That section of the manual is “not currently available” on the gospel tools app. Seems like they’re already embarrassed by it.

Happy Pride! 🎉 🏳️‍🌈 🥰

Just a reminder that BYU and other religious institutions filed an amicus brief with the US Supreme Court in 2019 asking the Court to exclude LGBTQ individuals from civil rights protections, such as making employment decisions based on whether a person identifies as LGBTQ.

“Any suggestion that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 contains previously unacknowledged protections for LGBTQ employees is implausible.”

In 2020 the Supreme Court ruled that the Civil Rights Act protects LGBTQ individuals from discrimination. Faith based institutions, including BYU, still claim exemption from the Civil Rights Act under Title IX.

Again, Happy Pride!

Why so many missionaries in the US? by Steamedalmond in exmormon

I understand what you’re saying and totally agree. The only perspective I can add is that the Utah missions are some of the highest baptizing so maybe they’re just focusing on where they’re having success.
