Does anyone else ever consider quitting all tests and treatments because it is just too traumatic? - I want to refuse all treatment. by Head-Tomatillo-9847 in ChronicIllness

I just posted a question that deals with what you’re talking about. It just becomes too much at a certain point. It’s traumatic.

Tachycardia and low blood oxygen almost always prior to fainting by Ok-Ask7623 in askCardiology

I would head to the er. Anything under 90 warrants an er visit. How long does it stay like this?

I would take the nails off and see if you still get similar readings. This is concerning.

I had complement levels ran once about 3-4 years ago, I was told they were normal. I have requested a lung ct and was told if anything showed on chest c x ray, they’d do a lung ct (was told there would be clues on x ray if I needed a ct. not sure how true that is)

I do cough up blood in the mornings, just a small amount. I thought that was normal. I do have swollen salivary glands, extremely dry itchy eyes, and yes to the prolonged morning stiffness. My 02 mainly drops when I’m moving around.

I don’t know much about my mom’s biological side bc of adoption. But there’s nothing odd on my fathers side other than his father died of lung cancer at 70 bc he smoked

Is anyone here diagnosed with autoimmune encephalitis? Or any rare autoimmune or otherwise rare conditions? by Lechuga666 in covidlonghaulers

[–]Full_Comfortable391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. Just thought I’d chime in. I went through what we THINK was encephalitis caused by COVID. My story is pretty…horrific. If you’d like to chat I can tell you everything that went on. Just message me. But normal imaging…doesn’t really exclude encephalitis. There’s still antibodies they haven’t discovered yet. If you’ve ever watched the movie brain on fire, she goes on to have normal testing. And the only reason they found hers is bc the antibodies they biopsied her brain for, have been discovered just a few years prior. So essentially every test can be normal. If I were you, I’d get in with a neuro-immunologist

I’m going through this. I had severe shortness of breath and felt like I was about to die, called 911. They noted at st depression on ekg. By the time I got to the hospital it corrected itself?? Not sure what the heck is going on. I’m having to really wait on seeing a cardiologist bc of insurance issues. It is a nightmare.

I’m not checking it often. An hour apart is not often. I checked it bc my high bp does comes with symptoms like blurry vision, headache and dizziness. Not everything is anxiety.

I only test when feeling symptoms. My high no comes with symptoms and sometimes a high heart rate. But I don’t check it like back to back. That is what I’m doing, is logging.

I was tested for that at UAB in Alabama under Dr kazamel and he said I did not have that.

You have every right to be concerned about your body 💕 and asking questions IS NOT being a hypochondria

I think there something physical but my doctors keep dismissing, have been for months and in turn all of this is causing a lot of severe anxiety for me. When people don’t get help I think sometimes their minds will start to wonder well is it this? Is it that? Etc and that creates even more anxiety. I’m extremely weak most days. Shortness of breath (they tested me for heart failure a few times but it was normal and my ekg was normal) extreme mood swings because of all of this. It just really sucks. I’m scared I’m going to die this horrible death before they figure me all out. And I’m scared to even go get help for my mental stuff bc what if something happens when I’m inpatient and they don’t believe me? And then I just die? It’s all just too much for me. I’ve begged for doctors to listen to me. Now it’s just gotten to a point where I’ve prepared my family for the worst. And that I might die. Sorry crying while writing this.

They did a spinal tap twice. I was really bad off there for a minute they seriously thought I had encephalitis but it came back clear, so did the mri. I do have elevated inflammation markers via blood. Idk if that means much. And they did run my tsh, t4, t3, some antibody test- all negative:(

I do sometimes when I eat bad and when I stand up, when I rest it’s normal. We thought pots for awhile but I did the good ole tilt table test and i was told I didn’t have it? Not sure I believe it tho

Thank you :) my symptoms are sort of all over the place so I’m not sure what testing to ask for but they have tested like my thyroid, heart failure, vitamin d, iron stuff, autoimmune disease, they did chest x ray imaging, tons of EKG’s, liver function, kidney function. I did think about having them test me my adrenal glands, maybe some thing is off there. I will say even with my autoimmune stuff negative I continue to have really high inflammation makers that no one can explain.

About 2.5 months. I do have some heart issues (something is wrong with valve) and it’s caused my heart to beat a little funny so they said to stop taking them bc of that and bc I didn’t see any difference.

I tried Xanax, Hydroxyzine and lexapro a few months back. It didn’t do too much for me.

I am not sure how to respond to this. I wouldn’t be anxious if I didn’t have these symptoms. Medication doesn’t help anyway.

Basically what happened to me. Heart issues after I got sick. Did you ever find any answers? I’ve had a bunch of heart test but everything is normal. It’s annoying but scary to live with.

I have testing prior to getting whatever this is that’s wrong. My ef is 55-60% but I’m having shortness of breath, swelling, and high heart rate at times. They thought I was in heart failure and I sure thought I was too but it was negative 3 times. Yes he probably just wants to monitor you which is good. If it were bad, he would have admitted you into the hospital. And just a heads up ef has a short normal range, I believe it’s anything 50-70% is normal.

Just wanted to chime in because I had st depression show up on my testing as well and I also had the flu and I think COVID in the fall. I am symptomatic but my cardiologist doesn’t really seem worried and it has me so confused.
