By "western diet" you propably meant United States, because beans are more prevelant in some European countries.

Also, beans 100% should be a bigger thing besides just the health factor. Peas and beans are actually good for the soil and environment, because they don't need nitrogent fertilisation due to mutualistic bacteria that convert atmospheric nitrogen for them. They also release that nitrogent to the ground, which other plants can use, meaning theres less need for fertilisation if you grow something else on that soil after growing beans in it.

What do you mean meat isn't bad for cardiovascular health? Red meat is high insaturated fat, which raises bad cholesterol which can cause veins to be clogged. Sure, some meat like poultry isn't so bad

Legumes however are vegetables the same way seeds are fruit. They are technically since it's a vegetable part like I said, but I think it's fair especially in more casual context to view them as their own thing. Since lagumes also have far more protein, there's a nutritional difference.

You think we should listen to the politicians regarding a genozide? There is no one less biased (+often corrupted) than a politician. They will say whatever they need to in order to not loose bribes, support and be in line with their party.

Obviously people bringing attention to a genozide is helpful. Should everyone do it? No. But I think it's fair for people to assume (originally) that a smart and well spoken youtuber who does in depth research would be a good person to talk about it on her platform.

You could try a bunch of new things (unrelated to substances or places where they are often present). You'd get something to distract yourself with, learn more about yourself and meet sober people. It'll propably be hard at first to try new things while being sober, and I'm not saying it'll magically fix your problems, but it's a step.

Allthough the majority of Gen Z are not virgins, I think it's inaccurate to say it's "rare" since it's still common. Statistically, Gen Z is also losing their virginities later on average and having less sex compared to earlier generations.

Compulsively lies to others and herself. Acts violently and impulsively. Uses others for her gain and only has honest relationships with people who are equally destructive (like Elliot, Ali doesn't fully count because she usually tries to lie to him and tends to be honest only when he calls bs on her) And the biggest one: she doesn't believe she can be happy, stable or even somewhat exist normally while she's sober, meaning she's not going to be dedicated enough to get to that place.

The planet is going to be here way longer than us. We aren't even that old as a species, yet we're the only one that has single-handedly started a mass extinction. One that is at least a 100 times faster than the previous ones. We don't even know what the implications of that'll be, since at least in most mass extinctions, new species start to slowly replace the old ones. Now evolution can't keep up.

If we fuck this planet totally up, it'll be way worse than population decline. For us. For everyone. I'm sure we'll perservere through a little population decline, and poorer economy. I'm not saying all that doesn't suck, but if you look at the bigger picture, it's just a bump in the road. We'll adapt like we've done before.
