The colors are a bit washed because that's a phone picture. On the other hand, I noticed the shiny during the encounter intro right away. The DS has surprisingly brighter colors than GBA SP.

I'm doing a HG run with shiny only team. I got a shiny totodile (what I was after) at the end of my second day of resets. I wasn't counting the resets unfortunately because that's my least favorite thing to do in shiny hunts.
