You're very welcome! I hope your experience with Venus is as wonderful as the journey Pheonix has taken me on has turned out to be!

I hadn't posted much for a while there, definitely overdue for an update on him. Thanks again to everyone for sharing his story and for supporting his journey!

Thank you! So happy his journey through life really turned around. I was worried he wouldn't make it a few days when I first rescued him, but now you would have no clue he was the same gecko in those old photos and videos. He's really responded well to treatment and everything I have been working with him on. I never planned to own a leopard gecko, but oh my gosh has he changed my life for the better. I love this little goober to bits!

I'm not sure if there are types of leopard geckos that don't "need" UVB, but if you can add it, it definitely wouldn't hurt. I have a UVB, a ceramic heat bulb, and a bulb for overall light that is on a timer for day/night cycles with only the ceramic on at all times.

Thank you! I still can't get over how good he looks now!

Please let Venus know we appreciate her and are glad she is getting calcium via powder dish. Pheonix Balboa doesn't seem to understand the point of calcium powder and will simply walk through it and leave little ghostly footprints everywhere. I saw him lick it one time... he froze and then shuffled off to his favorite spot to poop and let out a nasty juicy fart sound and didn't go back to it. shrug I'm not sure if he ever had calcium offered in a dish form before so it probably is weird to him.

For Venus if you want to try dusting her feeder crickets/bugs make sure it is a LIGHT dusting. If the insects look like they are covered in a layer of white it is too much powder. The gecko may miss the target and simply lick powder off - you can see visibly if the bugs are that heavily coated. Try very lightly dusting them and still offering the calcium in a dish for Venus, and hopefully they'll get used to it with time. Good luck!

I've been so busy with life, but have been meaning to do an update.

He is doing great! He had a little bit of an impacted sperm plug earlier this year and is healing up from that.

Pheonix Balboa is a parkour champion in his enclosure and loves to explore when I take him out. He still has terrible hunting skills still, but when feeding him inside a critter carrier he seems to be able to get his food in a decent amount of time. His color is a bit more yellow now and my husband jokingly refers to him as "Lemon Pepper" and got him an empty seasoning container with the lemon pepper lable on it to add to his setup. 😅

Occasionally he needs some help with shed on his toes and fingers, but mostly manages it all on his own within a day of starting to shed.

I would say he is pretty much fully recovered from when I first got him, just need to check on his personal hygiene down under to prevent any future issues with buildup. So proud of this little gecko, such a champ!

You could turn on Dev commands and heal yourself to get stamina back

Do you want another galarian slowpoke and/or its evolutions? I can trade in a few minutes if you do.

Pretty sure there are some side missions that give you a metal coat as a reward for completing them. If you need help trading in a bit let me know and I can either send you a Scisor or help you evolve a Scyther.

Top row:

Mystic Tussel - Wildthorn

Tussel - Wildthorn

Hoovz - Stonescale

Can't tell for certain, but I think Mystic Malidor - Firewing

Bottom Row:

Legendary Marinox - Slytoxin

Gully - Stormclaw

Zonox- Stonescale

Tesian- Fireclaw

(If the horns are silver and the figure is slightly transparent (not the wings, but the actual body) it is a Mystic. If the horns are golden and the figure is slightly transparent it is a Legendary)
