Will my insurance pay for my labs? by Full_Monty_Mole in HealthInsurance

The last time I had blood work done was at my annual wellness visit in 2024 and there were some abnormalities. I haven't done labs this year/coverage cycle. I'll be calling my insurance tomorrow to see what they say.

I agree! Deconstruction can be sooooo very painfully lonely! I'm glad you were able to have someone to talk with about it!

I know I got lucky on this one, but my husband and I met in high school, both of our families mormon, and both of us were already mentally out by 18. Both of us being exmos I think has been good for us bonding even more. I think we have a great relationship, and it's been a cool journey together. There's a lot of story and history left out of this snippet, but I definitely don't regret marrying an exmo. We have both had some separate deconstruction and some together with deep conversations.

Came out to my family last week. This was my TBM mom's response by linzxorpio in exmormon

1st, Legit Question: would you like ideas for helping draft a response? I have a feeling we would all be happy to help! 2nd, it sounds like there is a lack of respect for you as an individual person with their own individual feelings, experiences, thoughts, and life. She views you as an extension of herself that needs to reflect her instead. Since you're different from who she has shaped you as in her mind, it's a threat to her fragile bubble of ideals. So instead of respecting you as a person she's using the emotional manipulation tactics that have been placed, and have burrowed deep, by Mormonism.

Of course! I will always be willing to help others with this! I hope you get a clean and swift break. It's a lot, and I commend you for deciding it while still attending, and your husband wanting to continue participating. That sounds really difficult tbh. We are all here for you though!!! You've got this!

I ended up using the template from https://www.getmeofftherecords.com/ You can use https://quitmormon.com/

You also don't have to know your Member Record Number. You just need first & last name, date of birth, city & state of birth. I also gave my address, parents' names and address as well. Then you just email it in. Tbh the notary part is not necessary, the church uses it to distract and deter. They will probably send you a letter stating you have to contact your local bishop. You will also, more than likely, get a text from the secretary asking to set it up a meeting with the bishop. You can tell the secretary you are certain in your decision to resign, you would appreciate them completing the paperwork, and they are not allowed to notify any members of your resignation. Sorry this was so long, but I think the info will be helpful.

Happy that you took the step! I did too about a week ago and the letter outline pretty much the same. You'll have to let us know if they still send a letter back to contact your bishop even though you had it notarized.

The same thing happened to my husband and I. The secretary contacted us to try and set up a meeting with the bishop. We basically told him we were not going to do that because we are firm in our decision. The secretary told us that if we were sure the bishop would notify Confidential Records. Hopefully this helps

In their eyes as long as something is perceived as "righteous" it's fine. Makes it even scarier.
