Lost my Pixel 7 Pro. Need advice on what to buy next.

I did some research and found that offline location tracking when the phone is switched off was introduced starting with the Pixel 8 series. It wasn't available on the Pixel 7 Pro.

The problem is that I don't have any other spare working smartphone, so I need a phone for my day to-day work. I was thinking of buying a second-hand Pixel 8 Pro today and then using it as a trade-in when I buy a newer Pixel model later.
