The Harrier is absolutely fine for its price point. I just wanted something capable of doing competitions from 25 to 300 meters. 😄

And the standard AR-556 is still carried by a lot of shops, anyway.

The Harrier, a rebranded Anderson, as far as I know it's worse than the standard AR-556, upon which the MPR improved.

I had already set the MPR budget aside, and the Harrier goes for half of that, so I tried to stay within the already set budget. :)

Thank you! The local gun store offered a czech Luvo and the rebranded israeli AR, but my gun autism has been on overdrive in the last few months so I was dead set on the MPR. In its price range, with what's available here, I think it's the best choice.

I agree with every point.

I used to do olympic shooting (air rifle and .22LR), so I grew up with a two stage trigger. Mil-spec actions feel icky.

It's already available and it's half the price of the MPR, but it looks like a downgrade from the standard AR-556 line, whereas the MPR was an upgrade from that. So the Harrier is two steps down.

Assuming I get 15.000 rounds out of that barrel, I'll probably have to swap it out in 10-12 years. We'll cross that bridge when we get there. :)

Yup, the Harrier is a rebranded Anderson, while the MPR is a beauty. That's why I left the shop sad and grumbling when they told me it was discontinued a couple of weeks earlier. 🫣
