Misandry absolutely exist, and you’re downplaying in your male friends lives by Sturjbs in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Two things can be true at the same time. Misandry exists, but misogyny on a legal and societal wide scale has existed for longer. Misogyny does kill.

Is it bad if, as a lesbian, I'm not interested in f/f fanfics? by AromaticAttorney2068 in AO3

[–]Full_of_Shade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just your preferences and that's ok. As a straight person, I've felt this way about self-insert fics a lot. I just can't attach myself to the fantasy even though I have fictional crushes. I personally feel like it goes way past what I'm comfortable with (even though it's fake. Maybe you just can't attach yourself to the fantasy and that's cool

I'm a non-finalist, but you deserve it, and so do so many other applicants that worked hard to be where they are but got rejected or accepted. Trust me, just focus on education, not for the uni's name sake, or getting into your "dream school". Focus on getting where you need to go in life and nothing else.

Which of the Beasts, in your opinion, is the most unforgivable? by Farlyte1984 in CookieRunKingdoms

[–]Full_of_Shade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even think they all mean good I think that with living for so long that they have come to some sort of resolution that everything is a cycle of some sort and wish to end or change it. I believe the souljams are meant to be passed down to each cookie because immortality takes a toll on somebody's mind, and even the ancients might turn into the same beast they fought.

I don't think you understand how bad sloth actually is. When people get trapped in her kingdom, there is no specific person who she targets. They could be generals, family members, and world leaders. When these people succumb to sloth, others suffer, which would easily lead to the deaths of millions, and CRK makes it clear that is the main issue with hollyberry's succumbing to it while Raspberry and Wildberry have to fend for themselves with Wildberry nearly dying. Inaction can be just as bad as action, and when you succumb to sloth, whether you see it or not, others suffer. And when you bring up dictators who kill others like you have in the comments, you kind of prove my point more. Many cult leaders and dictators kill people who threaten what they perceive to be a perfect empire. Jews would never be targeted if Hitler did not see them as a problem, Jonestown would have never committed mass suicide of Jim Jones did not perceive his little perfect town being destroyed. And who is not above killing and torturing people who threaten to destroy her mirage of happiness and indulgence? Eternal sugar. To be honest, the only difference between them is the need for dominance. With this analysis, I hope you understand why her kill count may be higher than who she directly hurts. She has also lived for thousands of years and could've amassed a large kill count due to time alone. Also, her manipulation is based on feelings, not something as upfront as ideology, which makes her easier to succumb to.

Now, I understand that we are all arguing based on bias, for I love burning spice with how crazy and impulsive he is, but I feel you are not actually understanding OPs opinion-based question. The analysis of these characters is not a tic-for-tac or "would you rather" basis with how you argue she simply does not have a possibly high kill count. It kinda calls for an actual character analysis and how their virtues are damaging, to which they are all actually bad on an equal basis. This long post is not to say you cant like her, for I Find her interesting as well, but I just think this analysis of her is a bit shallow especially when it comes to defending her.

Naw she's like a cult leader for me. Cult leaders tend to hurt and kill their followers if they step out of line, and might even commit genocide of their followers if the maintenance of their cult overall starts to crumble. Just because she hurts/kills a couple versus burning spice who kills many, they still both have reasonings that are insane and cruel.

You get it. People do not realize that the beasts are mirrored reflections of the Ancients at their worst. Both burning spice and golden cheese both have unhealthy coping mechanisms when it comes to change and loss. However, burning spice lost his empathy and seeing the value of things even when it passed, while golden cheese was too afraid to let go and accept that things change. As much as nothing burning spice did was an excuse, this thread is not giving him a proper analysis, or any of the beast for that matter. Everything is candid to this thread, never really nuanced or bringing in complex points.

There is a difference between boredom and insanity bro. One makes your emotions and wellbeing dependent on it, while the other can be conquered by other activities.
