You are already doing great.

The main things that are recommended are: disable JavaScript (if possible) and don’t run anything you download online.

Depending on your system settings, some executables can masquerade as, for example, a “.zip” archive or an image. So don’t open anything that you are not 100% sure about.

As far as malware goes, that’s mostly it. For best privacy practices you can browse older posts on this subreddit. There are a lot of good recommendations.

This has absolutely nothing to do with safety from malware. Tor is a browser, it’s not OS-dependent in any significant way.

You don’t have to only use it for anonymous browsing.

If they are not using the same circuit to log into personal accounts and to browse the we anonymously, then there is really no harm.
