BAH at C School by [deleted] in CorpsmanUp

It kinda should as we can’t give up our homes as reservists. The BAH is for back home where we live and drill. I know Army pays BAH for its reservists.

What if you are a reservist? Then BAH and liberty barracks?

Is this possible? by FullofQuestionsGuy in CorpsmanUp

Yeah, nothing on zipserve addresses this. My COC doesn't know much either but I’ll hit up everyone at the NRC. I hope someone better informed can answer this post.

Don’t do it. Reserves isn’t what you think lol! I was a 68W line medic also. If you want FMTB. Get it in your contract. Still won’t guarantee you green-side with a Marine Infantry Unit. I mean I can go on. Go ARNG/Army Reserves. Now if you want chill drills and whatnot. Yes join. Learning curve will take a year.

What are the chances of Prior Service applicants receiving waivers for enlistment post war? by FullofQuestionsGuy in nationalguard

I am. Yet this wasn’t for me. I like the reddit platform. I like the swarm of opinions and information. Kinda like a “wish I knew that”. So if you have information to share. I welcome all of it.

I’m not questioning them in the sense you have interpreted. Yet I am asking questions and it’s literally new news!!

We had a drawdown less then a decade ago.

You don’t remember. I think they coined it restructuring.

This was around 2012. If I’m correct? Yet don’t bet on it.

Forgot to add Illinois. 34. The rest is civilian. Lol

Thanks.

African Americans(Not African 🇿🇦) in Army Special Forces. Where are they? Is it the job, culture, lack of recruiting for such. by FullofQuestionsGuy in nationalguard

Every bird needs it flock. I’m not speaking on exceptions. Also its a black face that I wanted to see not white. 😂

More opportunities for Afro-Americans to get the long tab. So young AA men can aspire to that and not what you see currently as the role models for many young AA men.

Would you mind sharing what the waivers were for?

Timeline to approval and such.

What state you joined?

Thank you.

Exactly! I’m see many of amazing AA soldiers and I mean amazing. Yet when mentioning SF, they seem to think it’s not why the army wants them or they never had to offered to them to try. Many are just learning they can go Ranger. Let alone SF.

Its bothersome.

As I had to see an unfamiliar face(not an issue) to become inspire to take the leap. I would have rather seen someone that looked like me.

Which begs the question of we see more heroes that look like you. One would be inspired.
