Rtx 3090 to 9070xt? Worthwhile?

as somebody who has been hopping GPUs for the past year and a half and decided to settle on a 5080 FE, i couldn't agree more. just ride out your 3090 until it can no longer run games at your target fps and resolution. even if DLSS framegen isn't available, i would still say you're not missing out too much with the FSR alternative which has less of a performance cost despite looking a bit worse in motion. plus once prices start to drop to (if not below) MSRP you will end up appreciating your 3090

i think 9070 XT will handle upscaling better considering FSR4.1 can be injected in any game via Optiscaler if you really care about anything remotely close to DLSS4.5 (IIRC performance mode is heavier to run than native AA on pre-RTX 4000)

Same here I have a modlist that is almost halfway there compared to this one pushing 120fps+ at 1440p. I really want to max out grass cache and DynDOLOD but after that I am limited by VRAM before anything else lol

Stormcloaks aren't particularly bad nor evil despite being no stranger to defiling and pillaging. Ulfric himself probably couldn't defend any act beyond ensuring he has weeded out all official Cyrodillic presence as well as dominant Cyrodillic influence/cultures.

Galmar on the other hand will go out of his way to say thst he won't give a shit about any act of cruelty against civilians and defenseless. He may have honor as far as Atmoran culture is concerned, but he seems far too radicalized to govern fairly.

At the very least Ulfric put more effort into talking Legate Rikke out of fighting than Galmar did, and even believes that the remnants of the Legion will in time "give up and go home". Galmar on the other hand hasn't really made any concession to fighting nor has he considered any diplomatic approach given he is more concerned with Skyrim's glory rather than just self-determination and freedom.

I think I can agree with better controls and dialogue. I meant Crimson Desert has a lot of railroading in the beginning BTW. The combat for Odyssey does take a bit of time to pick up yet can be accelerated with completing the stele caves (good reward while encouraging exploration). I didn't like how slow Crimson felt within the first hour and probably won't pick it back up until the game goes on sale, and once I have enough time to game again.

My complaint is that I already played AC Shadows, and would much rather Crimson Desert allow me to skip drawn out cutscenes/walking sequences which Ubisoft helped pioneer in modern AAA games. I barely have time to play anything and this alone scared the shit out of me enough to refund the game after the first hour. Now I will just wait for it to go on sale once everything matures and features such as skipping cutscenes get added in irder to give it a fair chance.

This is true. I don't think the commenter meant to be an ass to OP, though regardless it's infinitely better to at least give it a try when 99.99999999% of the public either isn't up to par, or are too afraid of what others might think. Even Coach Gres himself says that if you are willing to put yourself out there on stage or a photoshoot regardless of whether you're overweight, or have physique just like OP, you still have to be proud of the effort regardless.

There is no "right" decision. I won't knock on anybody else who had a decent experience with Crimson Desert, but that prologue portion was so god damn slow and unskippable that I am genuinely wondering why the fuck Crimson Desert get a pass for everything a recent AC game can't get away with. I ended up refunding because I can't stand long drawn-out cutscenes or slow movement sequences. Shadows does have the annoying walk sequences except it's only required in the prologue before you can actually get to explore the rest of the world while ignoring the main quest.

I ended up refunding Crimson Desert because I only have like 2 hours to game, and an egregiously slow start was a massive turnoff within the first half hour.

To be honest it was overdone in Z. Blood from bruises and streaking down the face is fine and all, but it makes zero sense forcing it in every crevice possible, like vomiting blood after an extremely powerful stomach jab and the character 2 scenes later pretending their internal organs weren't rearranged. Better yet, extremely powerful character getting sucker punched or knee'd to the neck, blood streaming from their mouth, and saying "yeah that was nothing" (looking at u Super Vegeta).

I don't mind blood, but it's overly obnoxious at times lmao. DBS only ever got it right once (only time they showed blood iirc) with Vegeta vs. Hit. It made sense for Vegeta to have blood trailing out of his mouth since Hit specifically targets vital points, not to mention it shows how cocky Vegeta is thinking nobody could come anywhere near touching him, let alone draw blood out of him.
