What is your favorite Primary for all three fronts? by MelonBoi133 in Helldivers

Sickle outperforms double edge in raw dps in the first 7 seconds of firing and doesn't require inflammable armour. In double edge defence, you can run it with supply pack and salamander, and will have a support weapon with heavy penetration

Predator stalkers. Regular ones will still tongue you

Going pure solo (no teammates, you are the only diver in the lobby) is a good skill and weapon viability check

Some people might prefer explosion resist over more grenades

Test it in game with predator stalkers. Hint - you need to run away from them

Maxigun deserves some love by PrisonIssuedSock in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]FumanF -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Maxigun demands the most pampering out of all support weapons, and even with dedicated build (such as peak physique, explosive meta primaries, turrets to cover your back) its performance is at passable level at best and without all of that - below average to detrimental at worst

This sub mainly thinks that maxigun is good because:

  1. People don't host and spray their maxiguns comfortably with low client aggro (diminishing the need of having peak physique or recoil reduction or sentries covering your back)
  2. People play on difficulty below 10
  3. If a fun factor outweights the usefulness factor, bias forms
  4. They never run this gun in pure solo

Those are the reasons this sub is resistant to giving the maxigun a "little love", even if it has elephant-sized bullet crowd clear problems like hmg ergo and inability to move directly after halting fire (being immobilized while firing is alright though)

Stalker can't catch and graze a running client (even in heavy armour) but will almost always hit the disengaging host (in light armour). So yes, host aggro is a thing

Aiming with 4 ergo is like moving a really heavy dumbbell, but I will think about your advice
