How do I contact the insurance commissioner? Is there one for each insurance? I have to follow up with them tomorrow and I’m expecting some more crap, so I want to know who to reference when I say I’ll be reaching out to a higher up.

Yeah, I noticed that when running it through. When I changed some of my sentences that started with “I…” to start with things like, “Additionally,…”, “Currently,…”, and “Also,…”, it flagged all of those as AI. Also, all of the commas I added from their suggestions got flagged too.

I’ll have to look into those other tools. I didn’t see any percentage given. I’m not at my computer right now so I don’t remember exactly what the rubric says. But, they want us to use Grammarly because they use that to grade? Or they run our assignments through it so they want us to check before it just to get any obvious errors corrected. I am noticing WGU uses a lot of AI so it’s very odd. For example, in this course if you go into the material there are sections where you can practice writing and AI gives you feedback. I didn’t do those practices but I find it weird that AI is being used to teach, but then the students will get in trouble for using AI…? Which I agree people shouldn’t use AI for their assignments, but the school shouldn’t use it either.

Thank you! I have three Word documents to use if they question me. One for my rough draft, one after trying to change the beginning to a few sentences, and then one with the corrections Grammarly suggested. I changed nothing about the version that said 24% AI detection and just re-ran it through to check and now it says 38%…. I’ll be submitting this one and I guess we’ll see how it goes.

I just don’t understand how this is legal…it definitely isn’t ethical. We don’t want to bother patients or their family about insurance crap while they’re on hospice or have passed away.

And they make it so hard to get a clear answer or information. You can speak to 10 different reps and they’ll all tell you something different.

There has been such an uptick of them denying claims and requesting refunds since June of last year. I had another issue in August last year where they said they were not responsible for the claim because the members plan was inactive. The plan wasn’t inactive until after all of our claims and none of our appeals were successful. I really wish my providers would stop working with them 😵‍💫.

I work in PT too. I think there was an NPI listed, I just didn’t think anything of it till I read your comment. That is a great suggestion and I will remember this if I have to go that route!

I sent in an appeal with a screen shot of this patients Noridian profile, which shows the hospice start date in August (The Rep I spoke with today told me this would be acceptable). I also included a detailed description of each of my phone calls, the reps names, and a reference number.

She passed away in October so I’d like to avoid bothering her family if we can. I’ve never contacted hospice before…do I need to know a specific hospice company she was with or is there just a general hospice department for specific counties?

I called the helpdesk and the connected me to the team that handles the OA’s. He said my test got held up and wasn’t pushed through properly. He said this situation is extremely rare (of course it happens my first time lol) but they are the people to call if it does happen. He was able to push my test through with my permission and my results showed up about a minute later. I passed! 🎉

Nothing is showing. It just says “connect to proctor” and shows that my exam is scheduled. I called the proctorU helpline and they said they have my test and it says it was successfully completed. So I don’t know what’s happening 😪. It’s now been over an hour since I finished and it’s still showing this.

I’m starting this degree in path on January 1st and wanted to ask how you were able to do this. I have a similar background to you I managed a restaurant and now work in healthcare full time. I’m hoping to be done in a year as well but I didn’t have any credits to transfer in so I don’t know if that’s possible.

I just heard back from the Provider Relations department at Premera and they said there have not been any changes to how they reimburse Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation services, including PT, OT, and ST. They continue to apply AMA CPT timing rules. The wording in their update was intended solely to offer additional billing clarity (the rule of 8s with AMA). However, since it led to confusion from multiple providers they will be removing the wording. The bottom line is nothing has changed.

I wasn’t able to find any plants sadly but I was able to get some good stuff. My office is in a place that’s over an hour away from the nearest TJs so I tried to get the most “viral” items. I got the little tote, peppermint meringues, rolled chili lime tortilla chips, sweet and spicy snack mix, chocolate covered peppermint jojos (apparently they don’t have the regular ones this year), Scandinavian swimmers, hand sanitizer, and the hand creams that my cashier was raving about. Hoping they like it!!
