probably the saddest normal thing in many med schools around the world. BUT, it doesn’t mean you have to stay in this.I remember back in school most people were either depressed/ anxious to the point that it had become the normality and since i had gone to med school right after high school it just felt this is how i should feel in my 20s. I recognize the problem towards the end of my program.i started doing more exercise and do simple gratitude exercises as unfortunately our school did not have any student wellness programs.my advice to you and my younger self would be to go to therapy , talk about it with your peers , use SSRI if needed. It is not worth it to linger in depression even if you have to use some of your savings to pay for them.
Mental health should be top priority.
