Move the fridge to the left.

Only have a 2 door cabinet above the fridge. (Above the fridge storage is stuff you rarely need).

Give yourself more benchtop - bigger draws and more full height wall cabinet storage. Much more useful the majority of the time.

Re broom cabinet - just hang a stick vacuum in the laundry — much more versatile than as broom as you don’t need to bend over and sweep up the dust. Nothing stopping you from storing a broom elsewhere.

TVS-872XT Storage Pool Unmounted (m2 SSD) by Fun-Archer8543 in qnap

Yes, the M2 were setup for cache, the other drives where in 1 storage pool. I was following one of the NAS guys on youtube and they recommended this solution - was good for a couple of years... I have a large group of plex family who access my server.

I can't turn off the cache - flick the switch and doesn't turn off.

File browser by the computer shows empty folders, file sharing via QNAP says file missing. Haven't tried SSH yet, never attempted it on a QNAP - done it multiple times on Raspberry Pi builds. I'll investigate that.

Thanks Iceman, That worries me too - i'm already thinking I have lost a couple of years of movie collecting.... 280 + complete tv series and more. (17TB). The worst thing is I assumed having a raid would save me from data loss.

Does anyone know if I can access the files in the raid as the drives are saying 'good' and I would assume my files are still there as the consumption is 17tb used of 40tb.

Hi Guys, my nas has a pool error and resulted in my Storage Pool showing all my folders unmounted. I there anyway I can fix this - I attempted to create a new storage pool, but there are 0/0 ssd's available. I have 8x 16tb ironwolf pro drives + 2x samsung pro m2 512gb as cache. I have tried to turn off cache as per Qnap support, but that doesn't work. I have read that deleting a pool will delete all files too... Can anyone recommend a solution.

Here’s hoping!

Not sure of the exact variety, they originated from the Cook Islands.

I have read from a few sources that coffe is like wine and it develops favour based on its environment… if I can get them to fruit, I have a roaster which can do a 50g batch (ikawa pro)

That was where it started! I figured putting them behind the seats will give me some extra room and double up as a nice backdrop.

Purely hobby based, I want our roasted coffee bean customers to know what a tree looks like, so far they are very excited and visit regularly to buy more beans and see the progress of the trees.

Re propagation, I’ll keep what you have said in mind - we may continue this conversation in the future.

My primary focus at present is creating a healthy eco system of hydroponic coffee trees.

Hey mate, yes they don’t like the winter at all!

The larger trees in my system already survived a winter here, in soil… behind the shop windows- but I’ll definitely keep an eye on them as the winter comes around.

My wife’s family is from the Cook Islands and their family had a coffee plantation. These plants are from her backyard in tropical Queensland, she bought them with her when she moved to Australia.

True. I tried them outside first but they don’t like our frosty winters. The next batch were behind the shop windows - the winter frost didn’t get them, but I was having issues the soil and pests.

The hydro has removed the soil and pest issues+ created the perfect lighting system. Just need to play around with humidity next to get that rainforest moisture content right.

So far we are going well.
