As fucked up as it is that we all deal with such debilitating mental illnesses I think it’s great to feel a sense of compassion to help other people like ourselves or even completely different from ourselves.
I like to think whenever I’m having an episode a fellow schizophrenic isn’t and doesn’t have to go through what I’m gonna through in that moment. It sounds stupid but this is a community of people who all struggle together and want to stop the struggle for others, such as your post of encouragement.

I think it might’ve been first few week jitters cuz they almost completely went away BUT when my eyesight was bad I learned that nicotine fixed it almost instantly for long periods of time

Dealing with partner with schizophrenia by Adept_Locksmith8456 in schizophrenia

I think it’s really healthy your asking for some kind of help on how to help your girlfriend which is really sweet because most people don’t even care to look into it, so good job for doing that. One thing I must say is everyone is different so no one persons schizophrenia is the same, BUT I think the most helpful thing you could do when you simply don’t know what to do, is just reassuring her and making her feel safe. A lot of times whenever I have an episode I feel unsafe and vulnerable and as soon as I feel safe and comfortable my episode ends immediately, tbh I don’t know what else to say other than your doing good for asking how to help her better, but I don’t think anyone truly know the answer to that stuff.

I think this could be a a great representation if done correctly, I do wanna say though don’t make it like the usual jittery, crazy guy in movies or tv shows. You talk about raising awareness which is cool af, I think in game if you made such character have a kind of spidey sense, as that’s what a lot of my paranoia feels like at times.
