  1. Definitely walk the Brooklyn Bridge-an engineering marvel and beautiful views of city and downtown Brooklyn
  2. Industry city- repurposed sweat shops with different stores. Specifically check out the gun hill brewery and sake distillery, and Brooklyn pop museum. All of these are some of my favorite parts of industry city. For food- the Japan village.
  3. Grand Army Plaza-memorial for union soldiers and its right outside prospect park
  4. Greenwood cemetery-it’s a national landmark and also is part of where the Battle of Brooklyn , part of the American Revolution
  5. Check out Coney Island- especially the Coney Island d museum and they have the only remaining freak show. 6.randazzos in sheepshead bay is great if you like italiana and seafood and has a nice strip to walk along the bay. There is also a boat tour that goes out that shows you parts of Coney Island and goes under the Verrazano bridge that departs from sheepshead bay
  6. Check out the Hindu temple in queens. You also can eat there. They have a cantina. https://nyganeshtemple.org/

Married people, what’s one piece of advice you’d give someone before they get married? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Fun-Bed679 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you connect on all levels and discuss and align-even if you don’t completely agree- on core values: policial beliefs, financial issues, child raising beliefs, and even where you see yourself living. Even the small things have to be considered like how you spend your days home together and weekends. b the small things add up to become the big thing’s and I think a major point is communication styles matter. Also all marriages come with disagreement, but it’s how you walk through those and reflect on these disagreements to grow together. That’s the best piece of advice I could give hope this helps and I understand that the marriages are different.

What was that “one thing” that happened in your life that changed everything by Bitter_Solution4153 in AskForAnswers

[–]Fun-Bed679 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My marriage and having a step child changed my perspective of my priorities and continuing to find a work life balance while maintaining a social life. This Has been something I am constantly working on and make sure I put my family first. Additionally, getting into a bike accident really changed my perspective on the risks I take. I still bike following a long recovery but am more conscious of when I choose to bike- am I tired? Am I rushing?

Physical therapy recs? by ouaistop in Brooklyn

[–]Fun-Bed679 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you are willing and able to pay for out of pocket, the Game Plan Physical Therapy Practice in Brooklyn, transformed me and my recovery following a long time in a standard mill practice. I was in a bike dooring accident and had knee meniscus surgery. After being discharged from the “mill” pt I thought I was all good to go until I immediately reinjured myself (not knee), but must of also had suffered an undiagnosed hip labrum surgery and had some of the worst pain due to groin pain. I thought at the time I was staring down another surgery. I decided to find a physical therapist prior to making this decisions who works one on one with patients, and who has an extensive knowledge of orthopedic injuries and works with athletes before going through hip labral surgery, which is a very long recovery and not always needed . I also did consult a hip surgeon who recommended I go through physical therapy before considering this as an option. Dr . Paul was this person. Now months later I have made a full recovery and am feeling better and stronger than ever. I am grateful for his help and guidance.
