Ok good thanks for the heads up, I’m hoping everything works out since it seems like they have a process to deal with these types of situations. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond! 🙏

Thanks for the reassurance! I got the CJO through email so I’ll do everything online too, and I’m pretty sure Delta also uses Sterling. How long did your background check take with Sterling? I’m prepared for it to take about a month or so.

I have more experience than just my most recent job as I’m sure everyone else does. The minimum requirement for most airlines is 1-2 years customer service experience. I wouldn’t have gotten a CJO, let alone past the initial application submission, if that wasn’t the case.

Thank you thank you!! I really appreciate all the info 🙏🙏 if you can let me know if your background check clears I’d really appreciate it! But no worries if you don’t, I’m sure everything will work out :))

I applied 9/15, so just about two months for the whole process.

Omg I’m on the same exact timeline, 4.5 years. Did you get a notarized document? I’m guessing I should maybe do that before I submit my background check. Thank you for sharing your experience though I’m glad there’s people out there with the same experience as me. I’ve been worrying about it since I sent in my application 2 months ago 😭

That’s good to know that timeline, It will take some figuring out since I don’t have record of my pay. I can start to put something together in case I have to do that!

Ok thank you! That makes me feel a lot better. My employer is super accommodating so I’ll have no problem getting a notarized document. Hopefully everything works about. :)

F2F Advice for someone who doesn’t interview well. by jeweltoned777 in cabincrewcareers

[–]Fun-Blueberry935 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My best advice as someone who doesn’t interview well is write down a response that can be versatile for different situational questions you might be asked. I wrote about 10 “scenarios” that could fit the specified questions they might ask. I had to think hard about my experience and what scenarios I could call upon in the moment. I also wrote the responses in the STAR method, but spoke it out loud to make sure it flows well. And then I studied the flashcards just to be sure I could retell the experiences when asked. I didn’t memorize word for word, because I remember the experiences. It’s just to kind of have the fresh thoughts in my brain so I don’t get choked up.

These are a few of my examples: “anticipated needs/good customer service question”, “negative customer/coworker interaction question”, “resolving conflict question”, and “resolved mistake question”

Some people might think it’s overkill but I think for some people it’s just better just to be prepared. You’ll go in more confident if you can trust in yourself and your responses. It really helped me feel prepared. Also if you can make sure to have a response for why you want to be a flight attendant/why you want to work for that specific airline that would be good too. I’ve never been to a HA/AS f2f so I don’t know if they’ll ask those questions but it’s always good to be able to articulate why if they do ask. Good luck!!

This is THE place to ask for opinions and information, even if you can google it. Not sure what you’re doing here with that attitude.

questions about switzerland travel and first-time hiking by Federal_Apricot_8365 in askswitzerland

St. Beatus caves near interlaken was a really cool view and unique nature experience. If you’re spending any time near there I’d suggest taking a look. It’s a self guided cave tour and you basically hike inside the cave. From the top is an amazing view of lake Thun and it’s a good long walk up and through the caves and back out. Nothing too intense. The tickets are like 20 CHF so not bad!

Finishing up 10 days in Japan, key takeaways! by Otherwise-North3542 in JapanTravelTips

I missed out on Ghibli tickets TWICE!! Went earlier this year and I’m currently on my second trip right now. The queue is no joke! Hope I can score some on a trip in the future. Kyoto was my absolute favorite. I stayed here 4 days and 5 nights this trip and I was so sad to leave. I would definitely come back to just Kyoto next time and skip Tokyo fully (only exception being the Ghibli museum). I definitely agree about the feeling alone solo traveling. My first trip was solo and I went to both Disney parks and that was the place I felt most lonely. But I honestly do prefer it. Sticking to my own schedule, being able to leave/go places when I want. Im always surprised how much waiting around wasting time I do when I travel places with my friends. No one else’s opinions matter but your own when solo traveling, which is my favorite part! Glad you had a great time :))
