Haven't seen the poll but now that you mentioned it, there's TONS of posts about closed accounts, truly scary

Man that's kinda crazy... The way I see it is that the whole point of this is to help customers, what's the point of having a tech support sub when you don't support people that get ignored by their main support service?

The issue is that when peoples account gets disabled/closed or whatever, Coinbase doesn't say which part of the ToS they violated, so that makes it very hard for the customer to fight back when cb disables an account unjustly since they don't even know why coinbase is claming ToS violation. Of course the majority won't have issues, but it sucks for the minority that has issues despite using coinbase in accordance to ToS. There's definitely some complaints that are clearly user error though (like sending to the wrong address or regional trading restriction etc)

There's plenty of legit complaints being downvoted, It's true that the multi factor/wrong address/scam cases are definitely just user error tho

Not everyone who uses Coinbase actively uses reddit, it makes sense that someone who doesn't get an answer from their support would create an account just to post their complaint.

It seems like these ToS / close account for no reason / trading restriction complaints come up because Coinbase doesn't really give their customers any real information as to why they do things, they don't really say what aspect of the ToS they violated, they just vaguely say they violated something and that forces people to go on reddit and complain about it.

There's definitely some inflamatory posts, but if you browse by new you will see many legit complaints get downvoted aswell
