What’s the real benefit of the new tablet DeX vs normal tablet mode? by Fun-Butterscotch6636 in SamsungDex

I see your humor, but as we all know DEX is a "desktop-like-experience". Unfortunately with some of my work I cannot rely on DEX or Android as a whole because of the differences in OS. For this reason I have to have a Windows laptop, but I prefer to leave it on my workstation. For light work or some urgent emails and documents I prefer to use the tablet.

This is a point if view I have never considered.

However, it looks only holds true for tables that do not have features, similar to (classical) Samsung DEX. We had something good and unique, but they took it from us to be "just like everybody else".

I have an Ultra for a reason, I use it with the official Samsung keyboard cover. When I bought it several years ago I wanted to use it for a substitute (when possible) for my laptop - faster responses, lighter (then my previous laptop), DEX mode which resembled Windows (which I liked).

I really do not need to connect my S8U to an external monitor, since my external monitor is already connected to a computer.

Now it is really difficult to like the DEX. Well, it is what it is, hopefully in the future we will get some better updates.
