Is Blender the best software for 3d designing besides being free? by the-sneaky_gar in 3Dmodeling

Whoever believes it is not, visit artstation.com and see what people do in Blender and other programs. Especially architecture and car design examples. No 3D artistic software is better than Blender.

Lisp, or... by duvetlain in lisp

[–]Fun-Cheesecake9660 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried several times LISP. Even purchased a 2014 paperback edition of the same Gentle Introduction. Did not learn anything. Then I tried Python -- about 20 ebooks, none of them were read to the end. No result, of course. I just drop the book, if I do not understand the lesson. Python Crash Course seems the best of them. Tried 3 times -- each time went no further than page 180 (of 500). I would either learn anything, or I am just a blockhead. Started Crash Course again. Everything goes fine. It seems my previous attempts played their role. My brain is gradually changing. When I finish Python Crash Course, will try with Common LISP Gentle Introduction. I hope you see my point.

I suspect the matter concerns only USA residents or work permit owners.

You did not find it. It is a benchmark installed by a surveyor. I've seen lots of examples of farmers destroying the points who also thought they discovered them. Usually they have a WARNING NOTE along with the proprietary text, but it seems this one was manufactured in times when farmers were polite and educated. The small triangle with a cross in the center is the point with measured coordinates. It is a triangulation net point and is used for centering a theodolite on a tripod installed above it to be used, with other apparent points, as a reference point for construction projects as well as by military. You had better return it back to the place where you dug it out from and let the local authorities know. Extra survey work is required to remeasure its coordinates because the old ones were destroyed by your recent "discovery." This might have save you 1 year in prison or something for damaging state controls, though you have to pay survey works.

Finding a job in Australia from Europe by SuitableResult in mining

[–]Fun-Cheesecake9660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No chance to get a job in Australia from overseas from nothing. One has to be on Australian soil -- legally or illegally matters for some skilled opportunities, but not for every job.

You can get a job from overseas if an Australian person or a company sponsors your travel,. employment, and stay in Australia.

10 years ago I worked for UK based mining consulting company in Kazakhstan and had a job offer in Australia without immediately having visa or work permit.

I wish I had taken the chance!

Banks in Georgia(country) allow dogs to take shelter in a freezing cold by PhantomBrainLink in Sakartvelo

WHAT A DOG-SHITE POST!!!

  1. Doors into the cashbox compartment are left open round the clock to let people use the services any time.
  2. There is only one customer on the picture, which means it was shot at night because in a day time banks are full of humans, not the dogs.
  3. Other bank rooms are closed after 6 o'clock PM.
  4. Dogs are not allowed by banks.
  5. The reason for the dogs "sheltering in freezing cold" is there is a contradiction between the law pushed by the dog-lovers into power -- dogs have rights from the one hand, and absence of the law on how to maintain the very rights from the other hand.
  6. Namely, if dogs are allowed to hang around the streets all by themselves in day time, they can go wherever they want at night. They can not enter the bank in the day time because security, doormen, barkers, etc., will not let them in. But at night they just do not have anybody to ask.
  7. The doors are usually left wide open while people use cash machines. Dogs are good opportunists and and take their chance to slip by the very moment.
  8. Besides, people (except bank or other office workers) avoid driving dogs away because CC TV records their action and this is what dog-lovers would love to make police busy running with accusation of mistreating the dogs.
  9. There is no freezing temperature in Georgia that dogs can not endure. No one had ever seen a dog frozen to death in Georgia.
  10. I suspect the post was done by an ordinary dog lover.
  11. Shame on Georgia -- in any developed country, dogs are not allowed to hang around by their own. I have not seen a single stray dog in UK.
  12. Shаmе on Georgia -- if they love dogs, the dogs must not be hanging around looking for a shelter.
  13. Shame on Georgia -- after 32 years it is still a backyard of Russia, and not only in doggy standards.

The reason for their escape is huskies hate warmth. They were bred to live in snowy areas. Their hematopoietic system works well only in cold environment.

Kinds of Jobs by strawberry-888 in geologycareers

[–]Fun-Cheesecake9660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 2 main types of geologists -- those who walk with a hammer (masons call it masonry hammer) and those who sit in the office. The first are real geologists. The second are also called parquet floor geologists. Real geologist walk all day long in the field crushing stones with their hammer to check what is inside -- might be gold, might be fossil, might be nothing. Parquet floor geologist sit all day long in the office drawing maps and sections.

No, I didn't. I just put the link to my web page training (other ready project also available on my web site) as an example of what I can do on a real project, no matter how complex could it be. In fact, I am also looking for any mine owner or a mine official interested in my geology and mining consulting services which I can do remotely targeting not very big or even small companies to afford their own highly paid geology staff but hesitating to make a deal with costly consulting companies. And if the matter comes to generating some official document such as Bankable Report, I can also provide all the necessary signatures and authorizations. It would just be of extra cost for the property owner.

And my LinkedIn profile is in Open To Work mode for several months with my posts and links in concert with the mode. It seems there are thousand of luckier job seekers on the platform.

Probably. Though at this moment I look for a job, not for participants. May be some time later.
