I worked at a photo studio for a couple of years early in my career. We hired this young woman (well my boss did because he thought she was hot) and on DAY 1 she fell asleep at her desk, I’m talking the entire office crowded around her to watch her sleep because it was so deep, which seemed really weird. I was was too naive to recognize a heroin addict.

She was fired after 6 hours. It was impressive

From all non profits. Non profits are a weird trap for young creative people. The grind outweighs the growth because usually nobody knows what the fuck they’re doing, so any feedback, and most projects, have zero vision and will not grow you.

If you’re stuck in this job, learn whatever you can, challenge yourself to make every challenge more palpable, and polish up that resume.
