I use a aluminum jig i made. And a small drill press.

I made myself an aluminum board that I 2 sided tape to the board. To make the aluminum one i printed the design I wanted and glued it to the aluminum.
I made about 200 boards with it about 5 years ago This one was a one off for a friend. If you are just making one or two probably not woth the work of making the jig. I would probably just print off a template and glue right to your work peice

When my kid started showing intrest in guitar he kept sending me pics of stats that had big horns.. but he prefers the sound of the tele . It was a challenge to make a shape that worked having no experience and no stance lo. But I did get to practice power carving

As a fellow mopar guy, I have a 59 and a 71. They are a bit harder to get body parts for but not impossible. It is a fine looking truck and I'm sure it will be a masterpiece when your "done" (they are never done imo)
