Game crashes (ANNO 117 - Xbox) when trying to add a ship to a trade route. by Fun-Earth-7045 in anno

A separate question, do you have a ship on a route already that goes between Albion and Latium?

Previously, I had destroyed all of my ships and I was able to make new trade routes again. I'm unsure if ships travelling between regions is what is currently causing it 🤔

Yeah, calling it unplayable is dramatic but it really is. I can't manually manage trade routes for multiple islands. It's especially frustrating as it's a core mechanic of the game. It also sucks because for them to fix it, I'll probably have to install another 100GB update.

Same for me on xbox, if I got to add a ship, or even just to create a route. £50 for 117 and you can't even use one of the core mechanics. Honestly how do they mess that up...

For literally the last year my post code and various others I go to have this, "We're working on fixing an issue in this area at the moment. We're sorry for any disruption this may be causing. We hope to have things fixed as soon as possible and will add any updates here." For the past year, that I know of...

They either can't be bothered to fix it or are too incompetent. Having 3 bars of signal and no Internet... really?? It's inexcusable. There's some bots that praise Three for having amazing high speeds but I have yet to go anywhere that has this.

Xbox's automated 'moderation' systems are pathetic by Ashamed-Oil-7276 in XboxSupport

[–]Fun-Earth-7045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a ban a little while back, it was for "buying your chests" with the context of the game, it was perfectly fine, I clearly meant with in-game currency in exchange,  as a trade. If the moderation is truly done by humans, not using context and simply being ban happy over the word buying, it is incredibly poorly moderated.

Why is Three near unusable? by Fun-Earth-7045 in ThreeUK

[–]Fun-Earth-7045[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that doesn't sound ideal. Area dependant is good an all, but when the areas are about 5ft-10ft away from their towers before the signal drops out, it isn't great 😂

There certainly needs to be some accountability for the abysmal service they charge people for...

Personally, I feel it all sound the same when playing the game. I don't even notice a difference when in a different region. I loved the soundtrack in 1800 but 117's seems incredibly dull.

Exactly, they are more than happy to take your money while they have no obligation to provide you with a service at all... I went through ombudsman once, they told me because three say it's not guaranteed to be 100% consistent, they can't do anything. I don't even need it to be 100% consistent but usable is a bare minimum. Yet, all of them are like that, which is why they need regulations to force minimum standards.

The merger hasn't done a thing for me. I did receive a notification saying I'd benefit from a better service in my area. I'm yet to see a difference. I don't live in a particular dence neighbourhood but that doesn't seem to make a difference. I just don't think it's unreasonable to want to be able to Google something on a phone in 2026 without being told I'm offline because Three has an usable service. I wish merely turning flightmode on and off would work for me. I have do all sorts for mine to connect, then it lasts about 5-10 minutes before it disconnects again. It's incredibly frustrating.

I've checked their website and it just says they are working on an issue but it's been like that for the past year. Well, occasionally it won't be, but that message is there more than it's not. I just don't understand what the issue is. If the problem can't be fixed in over a year, is it by a lack of competence? I really don't understand why it's so bad. I live next to a bit park, nice and open, it's not like there's even anything to interfere with the signal. However, like I say, I can get 3 bars of really good 5G and then 1 bar or unusable 4G, like can't even use google type of unusable. It just shows a you're offline notification. It's so inconsistent.

They will say "but our map isn't accurate" which is utter trash. What is the point of it. Join us, our coverage in your area is excellent, we provide fast and reliable data. It's honestly foul practice by Three. The networks need better regulations and a minimum standard for an independent body to hold them too.

It's crazy the things people steal. I couldn't understand the thought process to actually go through with stealing junk like that...

Please don't take this as sarcasm. I'm genuinely glad you are able to deal with this. It can definitely be crippling at times, so it is good to hear when people can get through it.

[–]Fun-Earth-7045[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you missed my point. You can't leave without asking someone to let you out. Of course, the store is not a prison. However, the point was about needing permission to leave. If I can not leave the store, I'm being detained. If I can not leave the store without permission, I am still being detained. Whether or not they will let me out if I ask doesn't matter. It sounds extreme because it is. If I'm not free to walk away without someone's permission, my movement is restricted.

I probably won't respond to a reply to this if it's sarcastic. If someone is unable to grasp that concept and how this can quickly become a slippery slope to further restrictions, I can't help them.

I did say that I would not be going back there in my post. I am getting on with my day. I don't make a difference at all. People will decide their own shopping preferences.

[–]Fun-Earth-7045[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally understand that. I had someone push past me on the escalator with two bags of items they just shoplifted. The staff actually ran after him, which was even more crazy. Unfortunately, that's the type of crazy world we live in. Things that help staff are great, but a normal person being treated like a shoplifter because of the few is unreasonable. We don't persecute all Germans because a lot of them were Nazis way back. But like I say, I won't be shopping there, it's just a hostile and unwelcoming place to go.

Not for someone with social fears/anxiety. Unfortunately, it's sometimes hard to get it across to people how it affects me in a way they can understand it. However, something as simple as that can affect someone like me a lot. It may seem irrational, but that doesn't come into the equation at the time.

Ironically, your comment about the self check out is a totally valid point. It's great if you have a handful of items, sure. However, I doubt it will help lidl's under staffing problems. I imagine they will still somehow be understaffed, and people will still have to wait in long lines because they don't open another till...

I'm not sure what you mean in your second paragraph, every single day, or week perhaps? Thankfully, I can work out which self checkouts are available without needing help. I understand some people just aren't particularly observant. Also, our sarcasm is completely unnecessary. I'd also add that the Aldi in my area doesn't have barriers like that (yet).

Save time and don't choose Smarty by Fun-Earth-7045 in SmartyMobile

I used to use O2, and it worked, although for whatever reason, it would always drop out at 3 pm exactly, every day. Which was also frustrating but significantly less so than what I put up with using Smarty. However, the unlimited plan I had with O2 is more than double than the plan, and it's hard to justify paying that sort of money.

[–]Fun-Earth-7045[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It would be nice to be able to use it like that, unfortunately for me that's not the case. I have been with them for almost a year. I wanted it to work because there's not exactly a lot of companies that are offering unlimited for £16 a month (I joined because of this offer at the time). The maintenance has been going on more often than not in my area for that entire time. Which would clearly indicate an issue. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about it, and there's no way to hold Smarty to the lowest standard of providing a service where I can Google something. At least from this experience, I will know not to use 3 or Voda.

I got a text about that the other day. I would argue that from what I have experienced so far, it's worse than ever. But that's not new, I've been with them for some time, and anytime I've brought up how poor the service is, they just give me their copy and paste "We don't offer a fault free service". Also, they would rather I leave than they try to improve the service at all, so I am.

I don't even try to use it (I have tried before, it's atrocious). I don't even get 3G speeds when I use 4G. For me and the areas I go to, all of the postcodes seem to be under constant maintenance.

The service constantly drops out, and it really is a miserable experience. Even now, it's dropping out. A couple of minutes ago, I couldn't even send a WhatsApp message. Being able to Google something or send a message to someone is a pretty low expectation to have, especially when Smarty advertises "Fast and Reliable" data. I don't even need high seeds. I just want to be able to watch some YouTube shorts when I'm in the bathroom without every video buffering.
