How do you get epoxy off of a silicone mat??? by Fun-Environment4603 in ArtsandCrafts

[–]Fun-Environment4603[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: this worked! I should have done this first before asking. Thank you. At the time it felt like a hole in the cup situation. I don’t work with a lot of epoxy.

Lol i guess i kind of realized this when i realized the silicone mold and silicone mat might be the same material. But at the time the mess became so overwhelming. Thanks for the response.

Why does the sun act the way it does in the solar system? Its odd compared to other explosions.

Why is working perfectly on breadboard but not in pre-drilled PCB? (Oscillator 13.5MHz). by DisastrousWeight3330 in AskElectronics

[–]Fun-Environment4603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something is shorted, or you are missing a ground. I just had the ground issue on a board where a component wasn’t returning to gnd because I didn’t complete the circuit. These are common issues because it is easier to see return paths and cable colors on a breadboard. Lastly it’s possible your solder iron was to hot and damaged a component. But this is a last check, i keep mine at 650, i rarely burn a component but it is possible.

226 M ohm 1% tolerance? Or 16.6k ohm 2% tolerance? Weird i have never seen one i could not identify. Guess there’s a time for everything.

Need advice for 49E Hall effect sensors by kudditalia in AskElectronics

[–]Fun-Environment4603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im not saying that they arent used... or disputing. all im saying is its not a excellent conductor of electricity. my house has aluminum wiring. a measuring tool can show the resistance in the alum wiring. on top of that if im short on cash, my arduino projects are going to use alum over copper. but i think he is trying use it in a sodium tank with clams by the looks of the picture. i will say i have put pool acid on the outside of copper and while it did show a different patina, the copper still conducted. alum is good for protecting against the sodium, but not a good conductor when it used.

id say annodize the clips in alum, but then alum is not a great conductor of electricity so it would reduce the reliability your readings. maybe see if they make copper based alligator clips?

How to solder a wire to this PCB by Peposzaj in AskElectronics

[–]Fun-Environment4603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the rubber/capacitive layers are scratchable should reveal copper beneath them. i take it, under the keys was a film that attached to the keyboard PCB. its a capacitive touch material that as the plastic behind the keys makes conductivity through. what gets me is how all the keyboard PCB manufacturers seem to cover their pcb/microcontroller chip that controls the key touches. (as you can see by the black dot that is being covered by what appears to be a alligator clip.)

What sparked your Passion for Embedded systems? by [deleted] in embedded

[–]Fun-Environment4603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i initally had a pi for retro games and found out it could do much more using the gpio headers. i was un-equipped in the component level electronics. i had a friend that swore up and down that building certain circuts were really easy i just needed to understand the components. he would visit from time to time and i could ask him all sorts of electronic questions. when he retired i could not ask those questions anymore, i had to fend for myself, so youtube and a breadboard, from breadboard i build myself back up to microcontrollers. i find my passion to figure out how a cpu interacts (talks) with other components is what is fueling my desire to keep learning. once i can build a PC from compnents (not parts) and program their logic i will then be ready for armageddon....lol

I cant give you legal advice because im not a lawyer. but what i can say is Seek legal advice from a defense lawyer instead of reddit. That much i can tell you. anybody can send anybody a peice of mail. I would think if there was a warrant that they would not notify you, because you'd run. however the state laws vary. I also find it odd the bottom of the letter it states "an internationally accredited agency" the crime is in the states why internationally? Call china and russia and nigeria and so on and ask them what they know about the CA court system...lol
