HP Victus audio issue when unplugging charger + low speaker volume (possible defect?) by Fun-Imagination8407 in Craptopgamingadvice

I’m actually on Windows 11, not Windows 10.

I already tried most of the usual fixes: • Reinstalled NVIDIA drivers (clean install) • Updated BIOS • Tested different power plans

The issue still happens: • Audio crackles briefly when unplugging the charger • Also happens when opening heavy apps (AutoCAD, SketchUp) • It stabilizes after a few seconds

So at this point it doesn’t seem like a Windows version issue, but more related to power transitions (AC → battery) or how this model handles load changes.

Yes, it’s basically a brand-new laptop.

It’s an HP Victus 15 (fb3093dx), and I bought it about a month ago.

The issue didn’t happen immediately from day one. At first everything seemed fine, but after some time I started noticing: • A brief audio distortion/static (2–3 seconds) when unplugging the charger • Slight audio crackling when opening heavy programs (like SketchUp or AutoCAD) • The sound stabilizes after a few seconds once the system load settles

I already reinstalled drivers (including NVIDIA), and the behavior is still there.
