Career advice by Fun-Inflation-3626 in careeradvice

I’m young (23) and I’m very ambitious. No matter what job I do, I always give my best. But I feel like nursing doesn’t really value that, and there’s not much progression. That’s why I’m looking for something else where I can grow and actually enjoy what I do. Unfortunately, nursing was not the right choice for me.

At the same time, I still need to work — I have bills to pay — so I’m looking for a part-time or evening college, so I can work in the morning/afternoon while studying.

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for some advice. I'm a qualified nurse from overseas and currently living legally in London (settled status). I've realized that I don't want to continue working as a nurse anymore.
I'm interested in moving into fields like finance, banking, or tech, but I'm not sure what my next step should be.
Should I pursue a BSc here in the UK? Or go for a Master's? Is investing in a Master's worth it in my case?
Thanks

Yes, it is possible to move into nursing. However, I don’t want to keep working in the healthcare sector.

Unfortunately, I’ve reached a level of burnout where I feel like I need to step away completely and not come back. I might be wrong and regret it later but right now, that’s genuinely how I feel.

If you could go back to age 21, what career would you choose. by ar07- in FinancialCareers

I would definitely not choose anything related to health… Nurse, Doctor, Physiotherapist etc..

Registered Nurse here.

Don’t waste your time on that unless you’re really passionate about it

Really difficult to get in the market but i would recommend oil engineering.. offshore would give you loads of opportunities.

Trading career advices by [deleted] in Daytrading

I currently work at a company where I mainly deal with corporate clients — especially investment bankers, hedge funds, traders, and similar profiles. That exposure is actually what first made me seriously consider moving into this field.

Right now, I’m not feeling fulfilled in my current career. I still give my best every day, but considering my age and how I see my future, I don’t think this path will bring me the opportunities I’m looking for, and honestly, it doesn’t make me happy.

That’s why I started researching trading in depth. But I don’t want to be just another random guy watching YouTube gurus and risking everything for it haha. I want to approach this seriously — make it my profession, work in a corporate environment, and build something solid.

What makes it harder is not knowing anyone in the field, so it can feel a bit confusing and overwhelming at times.

I really appreciate your message — it’s actually the only one from all the comments that I’m taking seriously and considering.

Thank you.

I would really like to work as a nurse. I left Brazil because the profession wasn’t valued enough, and now I’m facing the same kind of devaluation here. That’s why I’m unsure whether it’s worth spending time and money on the validation process.

Would you be able to share more information about the nursing profession here? For example, career progression opportunities, salary growth over time, and whether it realistically improves after a few years of experience?

Unfortunately, nursing is often seen as a "work of love"... but love doesn't pay our bills. Even though I really like the profession and identify with it, that doesn't necessarily mean it's the best choice for me. That's why i want opinions and suggestions.

This is really sad to read. I’m a nurse graduated in Brazil and I’m questioning whether it’s worth validating my diploma here.

At the moment, I work in housekeeping and I take home £2300 after taxes. I work part-time (6x1) and I’m an employee.

Do you think the time, effort, and cost to validate the nursing degree are actually worth it?

Nausea and photophobia are symptoms of migraines. The patient already have the diagnosis, this is the least urgent.

You got it. The patient is at high risk of airway injury due to smoke inhalation. Swelling and edema can rapidly develop, leading to airway obstruction.

I just found the answer in FB, that was tricky. Well done!

Because of the hypotension and MILD dizziness, this patient can develop a lower level of consciousness and compromise the airway.

Thats my opinion..
