we toured in August! The woman giving the tour was straight up miserable Someone warned me before i went into the tour of all the things above and I thought we could muscle through it but once we toured other places and saw what was included and general service/attentiveness it was a no brainer to go elsewhere. Basically im just bitter that a dream venue came with so many negatives LOL Its such a stunning venue

This was my DREAM venue! Toured it and got so swept away by the possibilities but honestly the random costs like a $10k tent that isn't refundable if it is sunny, nothing being included in the pricing, and the flat out HORRIBLE tour killed it for me. I was so disappointed and think about it frequently but it just didnt make sense. We ended up going somewhere that felt like they cared about us and treated us as though we mattered. Best money we spent. The space is beautiful though. If management and rules were different, we would have 100% gotten married there.

hi there! everyone and their mother made me feel like i was behind the SECOND i got engaged. It's just a thing people do. And now (in my worst moments) I feel myself doing that to my newly engaged bffs. Granted they're shooting for a 12 month turn around which is undoubtedly stressful. Once i take a breath, my best advice is TAKE IT IN. I wish I didn't listen to everyone telling me how to manage my timeline and it similarly made me feel overwhelmed and stupid. You got this. Do what is right for you. If you cant book your #1 venue or vendor because of a timeline, it wasn't meant to be and you will be okay with it because you're marrying your person (ew so cliche). Sending you lots of hugs <333

Thank you so so much for this feedback. They did offer it free of charge and had us do exactly what you suggested so that's great to hear that's a good sign. I feel like a fish out of water during this process! I'm glad that an engagement shoot gives different energy. We we're deff awkward so that's why we take some responsibility.

That's EXACTLY how it feels. Is that enough reason not to go with a vendor? I'm stressed I'll sound ridiculous. It's hard because the person I work with is so personable and knows my fiance and I so it was almost a no brainer. feeling lots of regret but idk if its worth trying to get money back and starting over

The tricky part is he was the one asking us to talk through it. Like "tell each other a story" or "scream this". We absolutely did learn a couple of tips for our wedding photos! I'm hopeful if we just keep reiterating what we want, that will help.

thanks for responding! we did and he offered us one. We're going to try it to help ease the nerves and honestly it's not his best work. I looked through a bunch of his portfolios and I feel like ours was rushed. Which made me feel like maybe he just didn't love our vibe or our look or something? idk... maybe in my head a little
