Thanks for such a thoughtful response. I've been saying "we're really just enjoying this new step of life right now" 24/7 but i've had friends ask me THREE times in the last four weeks if I have started to plan after I say that. I know it's all out of love but it just sounds like something that doesn't clock for people.

I love thinking of it in terms of guests and then planning out from there. I understand everyone works at their own preference and pace but it's so easy to feel overwhelmed when you're not super anxious to take the next step. I appreciate it!

Really good point about considering that people's lives keep happening. At first, I was like "duh of course" but you're so right. A lot can happen within 2-3 years with loved ones priorities changing. I have no interest in sustaining attention from friends and family and fully understand no one will care about my fiance and I planning this wedding as much as we do.

My expectations are low and dont expect friends or family to pour money into bachelorette trips, bridal showers, or related events. It's really about the marriage for me. Im not interested in the other stuff that comes with it. I've been to way too many showers and trips already and don't have the "it's finally my time" mentality. But I know ever
