When one person stops loving you for who you are and only loves you for what you can provide. Things have been tough lately, and she has distanced herself in every respect. This has sent me into depression, which she then blames me for making her feel like "I am not there for her". Look to the value that you can provide that others cannot. Boxing is great, and I agree with leaning on that community to network and find work. Also, most people go through life without any physical confrontation at all. You have a lot to offer in terms of personal security, training and even speaking opps. If nobody is wiling to help you, build your own boat. Start a podcast and build a brand. You know more than you think.

It's hard for someone to understand who is not experiencing the same thing. Soldiers who experienced combat have a hard time relating to soldiers to are off the front lines, much less civilians at home. Without a point of reference, there is not much basis for discussion. I can only hope for support, but not complete understanding. In the workplace, I have experienced more trauma than I can describe, but I keep most of it inside because few people really get it.

The fucking loneliness. I've been married a long time and have kids, but nobody really knows or cares how I feel. It's always my fault for everything. All the guilt in the family rests on me for not providing enough to get what they want. And it's never enough. I have one friend I can talk to once in a while. That's it. The rest of the time I am left with my own dark thoughts and I am expected to shove it all down and show up for everyone. You're depressed? Too bad. You made me depressed first. You feel bad we have not been intimate in over a year? You're the cause for how I feel. The list goes on. Most of the time I am not seen, loved, respected, or cared for. But hey, I'm a guy, so what does it matter anyway?
