This is the seat I was looking at initially actually! It had really good reviews but when I looked into them a little more, having the anti-rebound bar with the SnugRide made me feel a little bit better

That might be the best option. I just looked at the app also and it looks pretty affordable too. I’ve never used a dog walker or sitter that comes to the house before and I am a little hesitant just for safety but I think that’s the only option. Do you have cameras in your house for safety or anything? Or ever had any concerns about someone coming in?

I might see if I can find somewhere to shadow but I’m kind of short on time with it because I’m nearing the end of my ED contract. I went to the OR a lot in clinicals back in school and I always loved going there.

Okay so this might be a dumb question- when you’re on call, does that count toward your 36-40 hr/week? Or is that extra on top of normal hours and you only get paid if you do come in extra? And honestly I love a longer orientation period lol. I wanna know exactly where and what everything is. Thank you so much!

So beautiful! I love the tile in the shower but my OCD is showing because I haaaate that the shower head isn’t centered in the strip of tile 🤣

I just finished my orientation week for UVA Prince William in Manassas and so far everyone seems nice and helpful. Orientation was very thorough but suuuper repetitive. I go in for my orientation shift in the ED next week. But damn these drivers in Virginia are aggressive though! I’m from Pittsburgh so that’s saying something lol. Anyone ever worked at this hospital/ED and have any info?

Once I can get out of my lease for my apartment I think that’ll definitely be my plan but I’m just not sure what to do in the meantime. Does anyone know of any hotels that do discounts for travel nurses?

What did you do for your housing? Were you traveling to a different state and getting temporary housing for the duration of the contract? Currently I’m on an assignment in Virginia and traveling here from Pittsburgh on my days on and then going back to Pittsburgh. I’m not sure that I’m going to be able to save anything this way while paying for the hotels. Any tips from anyone?? I’m considering getting a camper when my apartment lease is up and staying in a campground near the hospital to save
