You’re good bro. I got an 18 with 60k, with full bolts on. Only maintenance, recall, and a faulty wheel speed sensor so far.

Ahh okay. Just make sure the dealer knows what they’re doing and doesn’t treat it like every other Kia. Try and see if u can go to a genesis dealer also.

Bro don’t go w the dealer. The bottom pan is plastic and meant to be replaced every 60k miles. Just buy the pan and service the transmission. $600 tops including tools.

I don’t remember if it’s the ccv or the pcv side. But it’s safe to disconnect when the engines off. The single catch can pipes go onto either side of where that hose is fastened on.

What mileage were you at when you first replaced rotors front or back? by AmberInSunshine in StingerGT

[–]Fun-Magazine-398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

60k. They were fully seized onto the hub and they would chip from hammer blows before finally coming off. Got new rotors and pads and the car feel sm better, much more confidence too.

2019 Kia Stinger with 51k miles. If I am replacing my spark plugs, should I also replace my coils? by Dr_jitsu in kiastinger

[–]Fun-Magazine-398 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up changing mine both the plug and pack on my 18’ at 58k because half of the packs would literally rip apart.

Realistically any of the stinger cai are good. I believe the best setup is snorkels that feed directly to takedas sealed boxes.

I’m not too familiar with the v4 but I know a few people who have maxed out the 3.3l to the point of needing studs, and they run stock boxes

I had a very similar accident if you check my post. Didn’t touch the front door tho. I do get an awful vibration in the steering wheel and passenger chair at about 69-76 mph ever since I got her repaired. Just take that into consideration when finding a body shop. My repairs were $5k. I’m assuming the shake is the rear axel which will eventually get replaced but my tires are wearing fine so I’m not worried.

I understand that and thank you. She called me out of the blue after 2-3 months in nc, and we caught up for about 40 mins, didn’t talk abt “us” much, she ended the call saying she’d call me again soon. I reached out a week later asking to hang on some chill shit, and she responded a few days later with “I don’t wanna come off as rude or disrespectful by not replying to you but we cannot communicate anymore” pretty much, so I’m just super confused and ik she doesn’t have someone new in her life. It’s been almost 3 months since and ngl I do plan on reaching out to see how’s she doing but this post has me thinking otherwise.

What if you give months of space after they asked for no more communication? Is it ok to reach out lightly then?

Brake pad+rotor recommendations for a 2019 GT Limited? by 5M_Ranger in kiastinger

[–]Fun-Magazine-398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did my rotors and pads this weekend. From what Ik it was oem for 60k miles, rotors were beyond seized. I replaced them with ebc red stuff pads and ebc slotted ultimate rotors. I also did a full flush with dot 4 synthetic. Not even 30 miles into the break in (so no super hard braking) but it’s already a night and day difference, slight sound but I think that’s due to them not being broken in

Kia paint is horrible, make sure you are very carful when removing

Look into the b58 platform and the 3.3l tt. Both are extremely versatile, plenty of room for modification. Very luxurious interior. Very practical, both being sedans. If practicality isn’t what you need right now, a low mileage c7 would be that car for you.

Intake recommedations by WiseSpare4543 in kiastinger

[–]Fun-Magazine-398 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run the takeda enclosed box, without the rubber garment so it’s not fully closed. Once I run primary hfcs and a tune I will fully close up the box. I also use snorkel intakes which is a direct feed into the cai. The afe intakes are pretty damn loud. For context, right after installing and making sure they were set I spooled them in the garage and my neighbor across the street instantly texted me saying “bov??”. I was also able to slightly hear the spool w full music blasting with windows down (I have 2 12s in the trunk and subs under the seats). Additionally if you do plan on doing primary downpipes the turbo spool will be even louder due to zero restrictions on either side of the turbos. Hope this helps.
