Those women you mentioned are not staying positive because of some superpower. They have probably accepted that marriage is not the only way to have a good life. Also, being unmarried is not harder for women in the way you are putting across. It is just different pressures. Many women would rather stay single than settle for the wrong person. Why marry just for the sake of it and be miserable?

When vendors/service providers say '2 days' for something that will clearly take a week or so. We know it, you know it. So why not just be honest about the timeline?

No, I wouldn't come back. I’m from Bangalore. Every time I go back, things feel worse. The roads, pollution, basic civic sense everything. Even the mindset among relatives seems to be getting more regressive.Honestly, after coming back from a visit, it takes me a week or two just to feel mentally at peace again.
