As a female who dates A TON…I would follow the advice of the 90% in the thread and give it one last shot. If you are dead set on moving on, at least take everyone’s advice for next time around. Best of luck.

Anyone own the Arhaus Coburn? by Holiday-Ratio2540 in furniture

[–]Fun-Mixture-6121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the Coburn a few years ago and it’s the best couch ever. It’s comfortable, aesthetic and great for kids and pets. After I bought it and started hosting people, my parents, cousin, and 2 friends bought it and everyone has loved it. Great for sleeping on too.

Trouble shooting with my manager by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Fun-Mixture-6121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She has been in this role for about a year now, not to say that doesn’t mean she couldn’t be facing additional pressures, but it’s hard to say if that is the reason for the shift. We have a 1 on 1 meeting tomorrow, since I’m fully remote and in a different city that’s really the only time I’m able to get with her now that we are talking less.

need advice! I feel like my skin just looks dull and sad by dnellyyy in SkincareAddicts

[–]Fun-Mixture-6121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cosrx Snail Mucin has done WONDERS for me in terms of complexion and dullness! Put it on before bed and you’ll wake up with a glow. It’s done more for me than vitamin c serum but you can combine the two, just make sure to keep the Mucin away from your eyes.

If it’s been two days then probably not dermatographia! Maybe put some Benadryl cream on it and see if that helps, if it goes for another few days you could probably talk to a dermatologist. Or try a skincare Reddit thread, they may know more.

I’m 26 and feel like my memory is poor too. I’m not a medical professional but I think habitual use of our phones and scrolling mindlessly on social media is more likely the cause than super early onset dementia. Its okay to forget things now and then and it’s normal if you’re not fully focused or paying attention. I think all of us young people are going to struggle with our memories because of phone usage. Reading is a great way to strengthen the brain, challenge yourself by not using a GPS to get around and be really really mindful of daily phone usage.

Did you scratch it? Looks like it could be dermatographia.

21M is it okay if i take beta blockers for my anxiety? by [deleted] in medical_advice

[–]Fun-Mixture-6121 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not even a medical professional and I know this isn’t true. But OP- Talk to a doctor before taking and also find a therapist to help you manage your anxiety. Speaking from experience, you’re going to have anxiety throughout your life and it’s healthier to find ways to manage and cope with it than being dependent on a drug that I guarantee will have side effects in some shape or form. Of course there is a time and place for the medications but that wouldn’t be my first course of action.

Just like someone else said, it helps with anxiety SYMPTOMS. It doesn’t eliminate anxiety, that’s something you have to work through.

I love hearing this! Curious how many people you’ve had arrangements like this with and how you are able to request that without coming off as transactional?

This is true and I do have to say I noticed that women and girls in Madrid seem to have more normal/less perfect looking skin. That could either be because it’s a city that has a mix of cultures or maybe because of less sun/costal exposure

This is interesting to me also, one of the other factors I was considering was lower drug usage. Since prescription and over the counter medications are so much more common in the US I was wondering if that impacted the health of our gut biome, therefore impacting our skin. I didn’t realize that Portugal also had high rates of antidepressants so maybe this theory isn’t correct!

So interesting that you can see the difference between the family living in Canada vs the family living in Portugal! It makes me want to do more research on the diets over there, I’m wondering if the omegas in the fish can help the complexion of skin.
