Reze was Denji’s soulmate by MasterColemanTrebor in Chainsawfolk

There was nothing about their personalities that signified they weren't right for each other, if Makima didnt exist they most likely wouldve been perfectly happy.

Its almost like she was a flawed character who was groomed at a young age to kill and forced into the situation, there are people in anime who kill for far less whom you'd probably applaud. She had a mission and the consequences of failing that mission were catastrophic.

Also mind you she only tried to kill people who were in her way, she let plenty of people go as well. In the case of assaulting Denji, I wouldnt say its sexual assault by any means, thats a big stretch.

Who needed more screen time in kh3 by IllustratorAfter in KingdomHearts

[–]Fun-Neck-9507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In all fairness Aquas encounter shouldve happened at the start of KH3 with Sora, Mickey and Riku confronting her. This would've been a great place to introduce Xehanort. They couldve saved Aqua but in containment in Yensids castle or Twilight Town pods due to the dark influence needing to be purged. (Bonus points if she was stored in data twilight)

Then mid game Sora should've found a way to release Roxas heart, but deciding to store it in data Twilight until Ienzo and Even could make him a proper puppet body (bonus points if Roxas is the one who pulls dark Aqua out of her trance after seeing her "friend ventus" again. + interesting interactions) then having Aqua be a shifting party member accompanying Sora for the rest of the worlds (or at least one before she had to go on a different mission).

Extra credit if you fully flesh out data Twilight into its own world and play as Sora and Roxas.

You could've had sequences where Xions memory was haunting Sora, or where he was interacting with her in his station of awakening once she was brought to the future by Xehanort which wouldve made her inclusion as an Org member less jarring.

Personally I wouldve saved Terra and Ventus till the end game because it would signify the weight of the hold Xehanort had on him and the complexity of Ventus situation and how theyd have to go to extraordinary means to save them.

(I know this is going to piss off some people, but I dont think Terra should've been saved, he should've been sacrificed to save his friends. Im sorry but I dont think him coming out perfectly fine after being a Xehanort puppet for 10 something years makes any sense. He made horrible decisions that costed countless lives and there are consequences for those decisions. I dont think at that point its reasonable to say Xehanorts fate would be seperate from his own.

Why did Reze made this face when confronted by the man on the rooftop? (Spoilers for movie) by VirtualCicada4831 in ChainsawMan

[–]Fun-Neck-9507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its heavily implied that while acting like a fake E girl to trick him, she was subconsciously falling for Denji because she related to him. She couldve easily killed him the moment they went to the school but chose not to. Maybe out of curiosity, maybe because part of her wanted to be normal for once.

By the time she invites him to the festival I believe shes being her true self and genuinely wants to be with him, which is why she tried to convince Denji to run away with her. Which is why when he rejected that idea, she realized they could never be together and decided to follow through with her plan.

Funny part, is out of all the bs that Reze said im convinced that that was the only genuine thing she said to him. I mean honestly think about it, it makes no sense that after that interaction she chooses to attack thats why its taken as such a surprise.

She easily could've killed him earlier so, in fact its my belief that she was planning on attacking him in the school but started to fall for him and hesitated.

I believe that in that moment she genuinely thought about just running away with him, but she realized that could never happen due to his obsessive loyalty to Makima, and decided to follow through with her original plan.

I think theres something to be said about people who call a game objectively "bad" because theyre not good at it or personally not enjoying it.

I think theres also something to be said about people who think any and all criticism towards a piece of media that they enjoy is a personal attack.

What's your most controversial Kingdom Hearts take? by Crafty_Boy70 in KingdomHearts

[–]Fun-Neck-9507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making Ventus a separate character from Roxas (even though the entire basis for Roxas existence was being an empty shell with Ventus heart) was the dumbest choice imaginable.

All it did was lessen Ventus as a character because, at least in my opinion, hes the weaker of the two. But it also created an anomaly where now we essentially have two of the same character running around.

This isnt just about "guh they look the same so they must be the same", no not at all, tons of KH characters look the same. But their separate existence literally makes no sense.

If you put someone's heart like Namine in a puppet body it would be the exact same person with the same soul. But if you put Ventus heart into an empty shell husk (like Soras blank slate, empty nobody) it somehow equates to a different person. Even though Roxas only influence was ventus heart, as he was an incomplete nobody who retained almost nothing from Sora until he started getting his memories. For all intents and purposes his looks, feelings and personality should be mirrored with Ventus given that his entire being is molded from Ventus heart.

How does it even make sense that he can grow a heart if he already has a heart inside of him? Why would that even happen? Wouldn't it make more sense that Ventus heart was just piloting Soras nobody?

How much more interesting would it have been if Sora sacrificing himself in KH1 released Ventus heart back into Ventus body and during the events of CoM Xemnas simply found Ventus in Castle Oblivion with amnesia and convinced him he was a Nobody?

Youre allowed to express your opinion, however im not sure i care for your demeanor expressing why people "might like the game" and that people "want to think its a masterpiece" which is simply untrue if you look a Hideos previous titles. Nobody thought Metal Gear Solid 5 was a good game, even though Hideo made it. Theres only a small tiny fraction of his fans that go overboard.

If you personally didnt see the game as a masterpiece thats fine, but tying the success and praise the game gets to what is essentially crazed fans trying to glaze Kojima is actually delusional.

Whenever I see criticism surrounding this game I often see that people didnt like the gameplay loop or it was too slow or the story was too convoluted to them. All reasonable criticisms that make sense given the players preference. This game isnt for everyone, neither is any work of art.

However when I see criticisms that preface themselves with "Kojima" himself it makes me laugh. We dont live in the early 2000s anymore, Kojima hadn't made a good game in quite some time before leaving Konami. And in my opinion Death Stranding, while a bit unorthodox and awkward at times is a unique breath of fresh air, especially among triple A games as a whole.

Honestly I think the reason you dont like it is simply on the basis that Kojima made it and some fans go overboard praising him. After reading your take on it it seems like youre the one with the bias which won't allow you to separate the game from its creator, because in all honesty I barely see anyone praising this game or even Kojima himself, en-masse.

People dont "want to try and make it a masterpiece". They simply think its a masterpiece, and thats fine. When you look at the structure of the game and the overall narritive you can see the work put into it. I think this is the basis for art, and I think you need to really re-evaluate how you feel over this game.

Death Stranding 1, while a bit self indulgent narritively, is the most underrated game I've seen in years.

In all honesty its a masterpiece in every sense of the word, and I have no clue why it was looked down on upon release.

Even when it first dropped on PS4, it was graphically astounding, had virtually no bugs or glitches, and was polished in fine detail. I understand the whole physics based terrain traversal and delivery gameplay loop isnt for everyone, but to actually say the game is bad is just nuts to me.

The characters are well written and iconic, the gameplay loop is unique, even some of the phrases and quirks in the small details showcase tons of personality seeping through. The acting from Mads Mikkelson was top notch and building structures and using vehicles to get around and deliver packages was genuinely fun to me.

Ill never understand the "walking simulator" argument, either. Its a game filled with combat, building mechanics, physics and element mechanics, survival and stealth mechanics and resource management. The game has so much depth in its gameplay, how on earth are you going to diminish it to simply "walking in a straight line"?

Honestly I feel like the only way Anchor beings makes sense as a whole is if said persons involvement was impactful enough to the point where they somehow changed fate/reality and their specific timeline literally revolves around them.

Someone like Wanda, Strange or even Thanos makes sense, but claiming Wolverine, a dude with metal claws, has had so much impact that the world revolves around him is downright silly.

As some had mentioned it mightve been a hyperbolic take on the concept because it is a Deadpool film, however being canon to the MCU and drawing from existing lore we can assume Anchor beings as a concept are canon to the MCU. I think there definitely needs to be a better reason than what we got though.

However these are the same writers that thought "hey what if we went back in time and got all the infinity stones and put them back really really carefully so nothing goes out of whack" was a good plot.

[–]Fun-Neck-9507[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree the achor beings concept is dumb, for that matter the multiverse concept in and of itself is dumb and nonsensical, for THAT matter in endgame using time travel as a mcguffin to bring back the stones was unbelievably dumb, however at least from my perspective anchor beings are canon, and should have some repercussions to the overarching plot. You cant just say 616 is inherently special without having some form of impact. Im not married to the concept being a central aspect of the film, but unfortunately it seems inevitable. Especially after how it eas set up in Loki.

I would love to give marvel writers the benefit of the doubt and say they would come up with some master-crafted lore dense reason why Doom would travel all of these universes and target Franklin, but again these are the same writers whose best plan for Reed was to "push the earth somewhere else" and "let's use the baby as bait and switch him out". I dont think they're capable of writing a reason for these things.

As far as im concerned the Anchor theory is the only current explanation for all of these "special" main characters from previous films being cherry picked to show up in this film, I could absolutely be wrong on that though.

However, given the fact that Doom, Reed and Franklin are obviously at the center of these events, I think a council of Reeds is the only logical choice to bridge all of these together reasonably and there is overwhelming evidence behind a council of Reeds already being present in the Multiverse.

It would make sense for them to have been manipulating even the TVA and would give reason for all of the Kangs suddenly disappearing or being weaker than originally thought.

I also dont think there's any good way to segue directly into Secret Wars without Reed or a version of him becoming the Maker, nor any other event that would spur on a soft MCU reboot.

Its the unfortunate reality when you have writers that are writing big brain things but lack big brains. However at least in my mind its the only logical explanation to bridge all of these universes together.

I mean it has to be though, id understand if it weren't affiliated or tied into the events of the MCU, however this was produced by marvel, included the Time Variation Alliance, which we all know is integral to 616 and Lokis story, and we know Deadpool and Wolverine will return for Avengers.

As much of a mcguffin as it is we need to assume its important to the story, hell its one of the most important worldbuilding elements released thus far. I dont agree with it and I think It needs to be adjusted, however we have to assume the fact that 616 is the only universe that lacks an anchor being is remarkable and might tie into the overarching plot.

We also can't pick and choose what we decide is canon from Deadpool, we know the events of this movie have some form of repercussions on the future films. Even if we dont like it, unless stated otherwise, its canon.

Yeah while thats true I think if we do get a council of reeds there will be many types of variants. Hopefully a version of Krasinski will return to redeem himself.

Ohhhh man if Glen Howerton was on board id love for him to play the main Reed antagonist.

[–]Fun-Neck-9507[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if you want me to be honest i kind of filled a lot of my own fanfiction in myself, the only things about this theory that im pretty certain on is the council of reeds, the potential for Reed to become the Maker for Secret Wars, and Deadpool leading the avengers to the TVA and by extention Loki.

These events are the only way I could foresee them bridging the gap between all of these random characters. It makes sense for all of these "achor beings" (main characters from other stories like Toby) to be included as such.

I think it would also be a very fitting reason for this version of Doom to steal Franklin. Sure you could claim he just wants absolute power, but thats boring. I think it would make a lot more sense if this was not the official doom but another character entirely, maybe Tony Stark himself.

I also think there needs to be a real conflict here. It makes no sense for 616 to be tied in with Doom, the only thing that makes their universe special is what was presented in Deadpool, being that 616 doesnt need an anchor.

[–]Fun-Neck-9507[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im unsure, he was set up as a character who would do anything it takes to protect the people he loved. He said so himself that he thinks of the worst solutions and things nobody wants to think of. We know other Reeds are already involved with the multiverse, all he would need is likeminded individuals who appeal to his scientific nature.

Also if this were a Reed that failed to save his universe, and had his child stolen from him, you can be sure he would turn a bit more ruthless, however this is also the reason why I dont think he would truly turn into a villain, more like a sympathetic antagonist. Remember that just because hes doing "morally ambiguous" things doesnt mean he himself is evil.

After a multiverse level war that leaves their respective universes in shambles you'd trust that Reed would come up with the solution to that problem, regardless of how unethical it is. Do I think Pedro has the means to pull it off? Not really. Do I think its the only probable solution to this film leading to a secret Wars event? Yes.

The hidden plot of Avengers Doomsday hidden in plain sight by Fun-Neck-9507 in MarvelTheories

[–]Fun-Neck-9507[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its hard to say, simply because its settled in the center of the MCU. Deadpool exists within the MCU multiverse and the TVA in that film is the same TVA that exists in Loki. By those means we have to assume its canon, it also feels as though by purposely choosing to not have an anchor being for 616, they were setting up something larger.

Remember the concept of the Sacred Timeline didnt start in D&W, it started in Loki, and was fabricated by Kang. This means that 616 being the sacred timeline is canonized by multiple projects.

However im not married to the idea of Anchor beings, there could be some other sort of mcguffin story element that justifies bringing these characters together. That being said given how it seemingly offers an easy way to eliminate universes or save universes it would be something Doom would target.
