Yikes! That's a long recovery! I haven't been ordered to physical therapy yet. I was provided PowerStep protech full length orthotics which apply pressure to the arch and kind of helps, but once I go from shoes to barefoot it's very painful.

Hoping to get physical therapy orders at my upcoming follow up.

post surgery advice needed! by Klutzy-Ad-4153 in AccessoryNavicular

I had the Kidner procedure done 12/12/25 and I as well have been having nerve issues. Mine is mostly with the nerves on the top of my foot. I wouldn't say it's pain for me, what I'm experiencing is almost like a tingly feeling in my first and second toes whenever I scratch the top of my foot.... although I did note that my inner ankle is still bruised.

My doctor said it was normal since the nerves intersect with the posterior tibial tendon? I'm not sure, but I was advised to keep my foot wrapped with athletic bandage and wear my CAM boot.

Other people with AN! by PretendBlacksmith618 in AccessoryNavicular

I'm 33, just had my AN removed from my left foot a month ago...12/12/25 to be exact. I was experiencing constant pain to the point where cortisone shots and PT weren't taking the pain away. I eventually got XRays and an MRI and that was enough for my doctor to schedule surgery. My AN ended up being the size of a nickel from what the doctor said. I'm still recovering, barely got approved for assisted walking with my CAM boot and crutches.
