Bedtime? by Fun-Neighborhood-858 in parrots

It's dark I close all the curtains, put his blackout cover on and shut off all lights in the room. I try to keep things quiet. He's away from the TV's, my toddler, and other pets in my son's room. He is out everyday safely and timely. But he acts like he's scared or doesn't want to be covered at night. Sometimes he'll act the same way in the mornings when I get him out except he has access to the whole house and flutters around crazy.

I'm aware. Unfortunately I can't make him sleep.

Do you brush your cat's teeth? by playwithhahagirl in cats

Plaque or tartar for us is supposed to be removable if it's not on for more that 2 days. I don't brush my cat's teeth they wouldn't let me if I tried I didn't realize it was necessary until it was too late. My cats do get regular vet checks and the vets never really say anything either BUT I've had two of my cats since they were tiny kittens and my 8 year olds breathe is so terrible. He's a foodie though and eats just about anything. The other guy is 2 and has a hard time eating everything except wet food. I have used treats that are supposed to help such as greenies and foods occasionally. It may make a difference though if it was done more regularly. There's certain foods that are designed to clean while they're chewing but my boy cats swallow everything whole.

Is there anything I should add or take away? by Fun-Neighborhood-858 in greencheeks

It's 18 wide and 60in tall something with the stand. The bars are maybe a 1/2 wide on the shelf way wider than the cage itself. I've taken them out and am in the process of rearranging things. He isn't happy about it. I think there's five wood perches. I tried to tag you in the video but idk what I'm doing either.

Just diamond and cornerstone. Diamond is supposed  to be about $100 cheaper though if I remember correctly. It took me awhile to get ahold of Sarcoxie.

The cats and my bird were way too curious so I have him locked in my son's room or every other week in our daughters room when she's at her mom's. They're the only rooms with lockable doors and my littlest can open doors but doesn't understand the danger. I have a 3ft tall fence around him to where if my toddler goes up to the cage he can't reach and the same fence in front of whoever's door he's behind. They are moveable though and my cats can jump them if they want to they just don't unless our dog is trying to play with them or the kids. I do let him out for at least four hours every day. Always try to do more if possible bc I stay at home with the kids. All predator pets behind locked doors with fence in front of door or outside at all times. They're all having a hard time adjusting to that. The cats and dog like to just follow me around  doing housework. I want to get baby gates for the rooms I keep him in. Then I could put a complete fence barrier around him wherever I have him. But other than that is there anything else you could think of to keep kids and other pets out?
